dsm-
The spacer goes next to the motor. On the stock chassis, the black piece that connects the input shaft and the drive shaft screws into a slot in the center of the chassis, but since there's no center shaft on the BMI chassis, it screws into there.
As for the setup, you shouldn't have to change it. I'm not running the setup out of the box, but the setup on the car now is the same one I had when I had the stock chassis and I made very minimal changes since swapping the chassis. If you have any more questions I'd be glad to help.

Toni

Gary - haha, you wish you could be fast? lol. I'm sure you can probably still stomp my car into graphite dust any day of the week. lol. As for my mom, she really was running very well in 1/12th scale this weekend. She ended up 3rd in the bmain of a very fast and competitive class.

Jason - I'm pretty sure we'll be out there this weekend. I have to wait until thursday to see what my work schedule is like but they've stayed away from scheduling me on sundays lately.

DSM - No problem. So far I have had no problems with the handling on the car with the BMI chassis. It makes the car a lot more stable and predictable and overall easier to drive. Let me know how it works for you.

you will be missing the retainers for the bearings of the servo saver coming from the t1r car.
