Jason:

Hi,

We are planning on running this weekend (IF I am over what I have). hopng to run both stock and mod (Mini got a 7x1 to play with). hope things are better down there.

Eric:

Hi,

Glad you lke the chassis. youre right the stock tub would be tweaked really bad after taking anykind of a hard hit.

Fasttrack:

Hi,

I agree with you about the battery issue some people have had. we alsso took some really hard hits and didn't have any problems. we didn't take a hit like yours though.

Default finally !!!

I finally got my BMI chassis after much fear it got lost in the mail.. (Post office system not too good at this time of year).. !

Here are my first comments :

- It s superbly finished.. i ve had a previous aftermarket chassis and this is so much better in terms of finish. the edges are sanded, the battery slots are superb, and overall it gives a very narrow car look.. closely resembling a SD (but better, of course

- it s rigid.. !! although i could not complain before, it s really not an issue..

- Awesome access to the motor screws, which is quite a blessing !!

- NO problems on connecting the battery. I used to have a side brace on my previous chassis and since I use corally connectors, i sometimes feared the graphite could maybe short the connectors.. this is much better peace of mind !

- The delivered antenna mount is also a nice touch..

- My ONLY "complaint" is that the place on the motor mount where the axle bearing sits is way too tight and compresses the bearing... nothing a little dremel won t fix but mouting it normally binds the bearing a lot, hence the transmission... so I really need to adress that..

But BOY i am glad I got it... it also comes pre assembled..which is a nice touch too !! Overall, awesome quality for the money... can t beat that !!!!!

I dunno what anyone else does, but I use some threadlock on the screws and I only gently snug the cap (OEM Plastic) down just enough to keep the bearing gently held in place, then let teh threadlock cure. Works perfect for me.

I may address that little spot when and if I blueprint (does anyone actually have blueprints to go by?) the driveline.

Protc3:

Hi,

Is now to early??????? back to not sleeping again

Patriiick:

try working on the plastic part. not sure how old your TC3 is but both of the newer kits I have built seem to have the same problem even with the stock tub.
Glad you like the chassis

Thanks
