Does BMI make a chassis for the Xray FK with the left side batteries all the way forward (Similar to Cyrul's '04 Carpet National car)? If they do, how much does the kit cost? And can I get the chassis in RED carbon fiber? Thanks in advance for the info and if the BMI guy reads this post how long would it take to get the chassis?

Yes they do-its called the split chassis. It costs the same as the 350 chassis. Sorry-I dont know about the availability of it or the available colors.

Jason,

I picked up a Xray FK '05 on tuesday as an impulse buy and this car is awesome.

Hope to see what you can come up with for this thing. I haven't driven a car this good in a while and you always make them better. I have a few ideas on how to make it a little better, but as usual the car doesn't need much.

Talk to ya soon, and the 1/12th scale looks great. Definately different than the rest.

Tim

jag88,got dude,sent one back.

the tc4 kit was designed to work on foams and rubber.i didnt go after flex when doing this kit.i carefully place the weight to make it work on any surface with just normal setup changes.

fjm9898 The BMI chassis is lighter then the stock one. You will have to add some weight to make it roar legal.

I finally got a chance to get the BMi2 on the track today. I was a little concearned how well the really stiff chassis would do on the lower grip parkinglot track. But with a few minor adjustments to the suspension I was able to get it pretty dialed. I'm sure with some more work, I'll get a bit more out of it.
