Seriously though, when are you going to start running mod so I can race with you again? It's been a long time since we've run the same class.

i would try lowering your rear camberlinks on the rear tower by going to the lower inner position.also go 1 hole in on the shock on the rear tower.i would also try maybe 1 degree camber in the rear and 1 in front.and if you are running a 1 way up front, take it out and go to a spool.you can also try removing the center support.let me know how it goes
Thanks Jason, I'll give that a go. I was running the oneway up frt but put a diff back in to see if that would settle it down! What do think about the diff support post I told u about can you give me a measurement so I can check them? Thanks again, I'll let u know how I go. Bye from sunny Queensland Australia

Do you have to pay customs, like when you order from Towerhobbies etc?

Chassi 125$ + Shipping 30$ + ??customs 25%?? = 155/193 $.

Would be really nice to get away from that

Morrissey: Even if you have to pay customs ( and I do, 18% its not cheap getting stuff to South Africa ) its still worth the money.

take the leap, buy the car

Default BMI TC4 Carpet Setup

Hi guys,

Jason figured I would post my setup for guys that have the BMI TC4 and are running it on carpet. This is a very easy setup to drive, but please note that not everyone has the same driving style. This may or may not work for you.

-Front Suspension-

70 Wt oil w/ #2 Pistons
ASC Purple Spring
Shocks in 3rd hole out on tower
Shocks in inner hole on arms
.078 sway bar
6 degree castor blocks
#2 spacer under rear arm mount (anti-dive)
Arms spaced in for middle length wheelbase
Camber links mounted in 3rd hole in
-1.5 degrees of camber
JACO Double Pink/Orange Tires ( tractioned to the orange edge )

-Rear Suspension-

60 Wt oil w/ #2 Pistons
ASC Copper Spring
Shocks all the way out on the rear tower
Shocks mounted on outer hole on rear arm
2 degree rear toe
Arm mounts flat to chassis
Arms spaced for middle wheelbase
Camber links mounted in 3rd hole in ( .020 shim under ball too to raise roll center )
-1.5 degrees of camber
JACO Double Pink Tires ( Completely Tractioned )

For some other details, I had .080 worth of shims under the ball on the steering blocks to change ackerman. I also had .040 worth of shims behind the balls on the steering rack. The front toe was at 1/2 degree out. Gearing with the Monster Stock handout was 100/37.

I think that sums it up. For anyone that is running on a high bite carpet track, I would give this a shot. If you need more steering, go to a softer front bar or remove the anti-dive.

If you guys have any questions, let me know.

Lata,

Jason

schreff - Thanks for the set-up. Just wondering if you have tried using the rack from the TC3? From what I understand it would be a more aggressive set-up. I'm not flaming you ok? but putting a shim under the inside camber link ball lowers the roll center :-)
Thanks again.

Jag88,

Oops, I was backwards again. Not the first time that happened. So thanks for the correction.

And no, I haven't tried the TC3 rack. I am trying to stick with what the factory guys are running with the exception of the BMI chassis. I am trying to work on an Associated sponsorship, so if I land that, I wouldn't be able to use the rack anyhow.

Later,

Jason
