Does anyone have a setup for the xray 350 chassis on a tight indoor track?
Is there a place to find setups specific to bmi chassis?

The towers work really good. I got to run them starting with the camber links all the way up and work down run by run. Big differences. This is an awesome learning and tuning option for this car. Jason got to try some different shock angles and move them a very small amount at a time. This was just not possible before. These are a must have for the MI2!! Awesome job Jason!!!

TimXLB and ProTC3,

It was a very good day of racing today. The TC3 still is running like a champ. A few really fast guys came out to play and I ended up 3rd in the A and only a few seconds down from the leaders. I pulled something out of my old bag of tricks and it makes the car handle like a dream. I decided to try a driveshaft one-way setup just for kicks and I beat my fastest run there by 7 seconds. That's good for over a half of a lap. It freed the car up mid corner and instead of pushing a little wide, the car rotates smoothly and consistantly.

I can't wait to try a couple of other ideas. I put a nitro TC3 rack on tonight and hopefully the car will react a little faster like some of the other cars on the track. My fastest lap was only one tenth off the fastest lap of the day, so I can't complain too much.

Talk to you guys later,

Tim

Thank you sir. And just in time, I cracked a stock chassis during testing today It held to gether fine to finish out the day but I wouldn't want to take a good hit on the right side now.

Tim Stamper:

Hi,

Glad you had a good day of racing. we stayed home as Mini is still sick with the flu. Pat's also sick.and I just watched racing all day. I was thinking about sending a shaft oneway. I know that I have a couple around my shop. I think you'll like the nitro rack over the stock rack. call me if you have any Q's. are you still going to the Mi Cheap Champs??? LMK.

Jason:

Sweet looking shock towers.......... now all I need is a Mi2 to put them on

StephenSobotta:

Hi,

hows things going????? still running the TC3???.

Thanks

I know that 3 other people now want my one-way and need to know where to get one. I just can't remember who makes it.

As of right now, yes I will be going. Because of my 2 DNF's at RcScrewz, I really am not in contention for the money. I would have to get 100 or 101 points in the next 2 races just to make 2nd or 3rd and I want to do the champs this weekend. Frank and Ken B both have made all of the races so far and don't have any finishes with less that 95 points. I got 100 points in the last 2, but a 92 and a 93 in the 2nd and 3rd race due to technical difficulties.

I am also 99.9% sure that I will be doing the Vegas race this year instead of Cleveland. I am working it out with Monahan for transportation and a room. He was at 'Screwz yesterday, and brought it up. It looks like a few people in my area might be going.

I'll give you a call in a few. Work is crazy right now and I am pulling what's left of my hair out with a couple of my labs.

I need help making the car transition a little faster. Someone told me to put a thinner swaybar on it, and i'll try that. I have a .063 on it right now. The car will take the tight areas without too much of a problem, but if it has to go from a hard left to a hard right, it pushes a little more than i like it too. Barry's x-ray's and Rick's RDX beat me in the more open areas and I was able to catch up in the tight stuff. Kinda opposite from what i'm used to.

Talk to ya later,

Tim

Tim:

Hi,

GPM made one for a while I'm not sure if they still do. I had made one for mini's TC3 but it was destroyed in a really bad wreck. it was cool because you could adjust the amount the oneway worked. as for Barrys and Ricks car beating you in the more open parts of the track this is a side effect of a shaft oneway. it is not pulling as hard a it is through the tighter parts. that's why I made the one for Mini's TC3. still try a .055 or lighter front swaybar (or none at all with a slighter higher ride height). also LMK if you need anything.

John:

E mail sent.

Thanks
