Jason - I hope you feel better buddy. I just called and talked to your wife. She says you're home sick today. She also said she's pissed at you for getting her sick right before New Years!!!!! Jason's gonna be in the doghouse...

Anyway, get over that flu. We need our shipments to go out.

I consider getting a complete BMI kit for my Pro4.
Will it be any good in carpet-racing with rubber tires?
It seems like most use a 2mm/2mm combo in rubber carpet.....

Not true across all of your chassis kits.

Jason, back a couple hundred posts when the ETC3 chassis was released, there was a post by a customer saying that he had problems with battery ejection. Even though I saw no efforts by anyone attempt to help this user with this problem, I ordered the chassis anyway.

My first big race with my BMI chassis was the January Jam at RC Madness in Enfield, CT. I had battery ejection problems all weekend long. It ended my main early, too. Since I saw no attempt to help this other customer with battery ejection problems, I set out to solve them myself. I have tried many different solutions. From aluminum battery bars, CF battery bars, upside down stock battery bar to building up the side of the chassis with tape in effort to persuade the batteries not to come out of the slots. This season started out on the right foot, no battery ejections at all... until last month. This time I was t-boned so hard the batteries ejected the opposite direction, into the aluminum drive shaft. At this point I had enough and decided that an off the shelf solution would not work. I just happened to have a chunk of delrin hanging around. I cut out two pieces 2" long by 3/16 x 3/16 x 45deg. I attached them to the chassis at the mid point of the packs, both sides, with flathead screws. No more ejection problems.

I did not give up on the chassis because it is a solid piece. It performs well. I regularly make the A-main in stock at my local track, and recently won the point series with it. I know that this is a long term solution for my battery ejection problems for the TC3. When my BMI TC4 chassis arrives, I will give it a couple of shots to keep the batteries inside; otherwise it will receive the same treatment.

timmay 70,

the first run of 20 chassis kits that i made for the tc3 had the battery slots beveled all the way around the slots.i had a few people have a problem with battery ejection and i made a change to the chassis.i went to only beveling the front and rear of the slot and leaving the sides squared.this seemed to have cured the problem.i take all feedback from my customers very seriously and use the feedback to perfect my products.and in this case,i did the necesary improvements
