I showed off my BMI split cell Xray chassis last night and everyone was impressed. I've never seen such awesome quality. Can't wait to get this thing on carpet.

Here is a pic of the B-Mi-2 chassis ready for some laps on the carpet. I am sure it will run as sweet as it looks. Just like alwayse with BMI.

mcc-bri;

this is our base setup for carpet /foams.

Springs: white

Caster blocks: 4* assoc/losi steeing knuckles
front block: F-0
shock mounting: lower outer hole on arm, middle hole on a rear shock tower mounted up front. (I cut off the outer most hole).
camber link: lower inner on shock tower.
Sway bar: either a .078 or a .062 up front (depending on bite).
Tires: Jaco double Pink/Orange or Purple/Orange.

Rear:

Springs: Purple or copper (depending on bite)
Oil: 50wt Assoc
Pistons: #2's
Rear toe in: either the "R" block with the R+2+0 or the "F" block with the R+3+0 block. (I shim up the "F" block with 2 motor washers per side).
Rear Hubs: Losi 0* hubs.
Camber link: upper inner hole on hte shock tower and the inner hole on the hub carrier.
Sway Bar: none
Tires: Jaco double pinks or purples.

Camber: 1.5* all around. (less up front if the tires are coning)
Batteries: forward.
Motor: either a Monster stock or a MVP
Tire size: 2.360 (new Jaco rims) 2.3 (old rims)
Elecronics: GT7 speedo, (#4setting) XXTra Rx, JR 8714 servo, and a personal transponder mounted on the servo.
Body: Losi Alfa. slammed or a Startus (old one).

hope this helps.

the only change we made was to go to 70wt Assoc up front for Cleveland and we ran a 2.0 Stratus.
we went back to the Alfa this weekend

and Jaco dpuble pinks and double pink/orange for tires.

look back around pages 13 -20 for some other setups for you to try.

Thanks

Well, I just got home from the region 4 super regional race and I have to say the latest BMI2 protos were awesome this weekend. All day Saturday the weather was terrible. Cold, wet, nasty!!! The track was different every time I time I ran. This car gave me the chance to win every heat!! Absolutly awesome!! super predictable handling when alot of people were looking for setups. Sunday the sun came out and so did the traction. I actually traction rolled a few times. I managed to get in three good qualifiers Saturday and ran two awesome qualifiers today. I ended up qualifying 8th and finishing 4th in the B of 19 turn and qualified 9th and finishing 6th in the A main of mod. Steve McNichols was running the other proto and ended up qualifying 8th and finished 5th in the A main of mod. He loved the car also, but had alot of bad luck Saturday. Thanks to Jason for the awesome support and The whole Schumacher team (Steve M, Paul Wynn, Troy S, and Adrian M) for helping me and allowing some speed to rub off on me!!

<--Another Super Regionals survivor!
I decided to bump up from stock and run mod this weekend and did pretty decent. I ended up qualifying 6th in the B (not so great, since there was only 17 people racing) and moved up to 4th for the finish. I was a little bummed about not making the show, but once I realized who was in the B it kind of made me re-think that. So all in all, I'm happy with the weekend and finishing 14th/17 is a lot better than 22/22 (last years finish in stock).
