You are much better off getting the Pro 4 kit and getting the BMI chassis. The stock carbon pieces you can sell.

The 3 mm chassis is very stiff. It performs excellently on carpet. My Pro 4 is very, very fast on low - high grip ozite.

right-on-what Brian said-it looks like the Chicago guys ahve the Hpi Pro4's rolling.

Also-I happened to buy my Pro4 used. It had only a few runs on it when i bought it. Keep your eyes open for them.

Yeah we have the Pro 4's hooked up around here. I'm a bit faster with this than the Xray, and the same for consistency. Gotta love the shaft car rip.

Our local track has been getting really grooved up on the new ozite just club racing. I should be really close for setup arriving at Cleveland.

rc-zombies,

I am told the stock setup is actually very good for rubber tires on carpet. Just take the roll center blocks down .5 mm all around to compensate for the thicker chassis.

Can you screw the ends onto the shafts more and make them shorter? This is the normal fix when switching to lowered towers.

On the ball cups on my Mi2 the cups need to be cut shorter to get short enough. Im not sure if that would be possable on an XRay shock.

Use associated shock spring retainers. This will allow you to get under 5mm.

Yeah, stock setup is pretty darn good for rubber tires on carpet for the pro 4. A few people have ran it like that here.

you will need lower retainers. if you go to my sig to team tamale, the guy there makes some that are the exact fit for xrays and are lower then the factory. he also sells a couple more thing for the xray
