ON my first day w/ my 350 I had to turn down my Dual Rate, loosen rear diff a tad and then I put on the JOsh style steering extensions. That made it push going in, but man-oh man is it consistent and does it ever fly in fast-long corners.

Because of the corner entry push-I put toe out in front, raised the rear camber link on hub and also took off the front sway bar and opened shocks up one hole and ran very little front droop.

NOw car turns in good AND is almost impossible to make it get out of shape.

For fun-I took off the steering extensions for tomorrow nights race. I expect I will put my sway bar back on and take-out toe-out, but I dont think car will be hard to drive at all-just a lot more aggressive again.

It seems everyone is loving the steering extensions. It seemed to not work with me at the nats. I'll have to do more testing at my home track.

Well, I tested my new titanium 350 Xray chassis yesterday. I've gotta say it's without a doubt, the best handling car i've ever driven...and i still have many more months to keep getting it better and better!

I held TQ for 3 rounds and won the main yesterday in Stock foam @ S&N's Trackside.

DIALED!!

The Ti must have been cool to look at. People might have confused it with the original Yoke shaft kit.

It is really cool to look at, Neil. But it's noticably darker than the SSG that yok has, and most TC racers that haven't been living under a rock can see the difference.

BTW, the 350 car is definitely more balanced than the split-cell chassis i had been running.

Brian-compare as best you can the difference between the 350 and the split in handling-corner speed... I might want to have both chassis!! Sadly I have nough parts to build a second car already-but no bulkheads. I would be stuck with low or high roll center and I am now running mid.

Default TIP for FOAM TIRE racers

Hey all,

if your gonna run foam tires on the FK Xray and you wanted to run the Foam tire front shock tower...

Buy the shock tower set from Jason too. The shock holes are a little different, but that doesnt matter.

Whats cool is the towers are 3mm thick and the front shock tower is a smidge higher than the foam tire tower (allowing you to run 2.35" or taller foams), but much lower than the ultratune shock tower. Basically he drilled the holes higher in the shock tower, but the shock tower itself is still low profile.

ON my car-When i run 2.34" tires, my shock collars were backked all the way off and ride height was barely 4.5mm!!

Ray,

To me the 350 car changes directions quicker, and turns in harder than the split-cell car did. I also like that it is more balanced. As far as corner speed goes...about the same, I just like the 350's overall handling better.

I'm running low on the roll center positions...

I start my tires at about 2.32 now...and yeah, just like you I can just make 4.5 mm ride height!

The trick is just getting the bulkheads. Extremely difficult to find.
