Tim,

I was thinking of doing the last Mid-Ohio Kart race in October as my helmets nolonger Snell legal next year. My brother has been doing a lot of testing with the spec euro controlled motors and they look like fun. I might get a free motor to run that weekend. Much faster than PP Can class, but still a fixed pipe!!

Karting is truly the most satisfying form of motorsports to the common man. The sounds, the concentration, the heat, the air flow over your body and under your helmet, the speed, the g-forces, the smell and drafting within inches and even bump drafting in a pack of 10 for 45 minutes are things that RC racing just cannot ever replace!! And I love RC racing!!

BTW-Mini needs to race a Xray FK with BMI 350 chassis at Champs this fall. I am sure of it!!

Ray:

Hi,

well they stuffed me into a kart a few weeks ago and I went out and run a bunch of laps. it was tons of fun.......... until they tried to get me out of the kart. I agree with you about the rush of Karting. I know Mini's totally addicted..............to the point he's after us to move to a warmer state so he can Kart all year round.
as for the helmet..... Mini's helmet was new last year and will unuseable next season. does your brother have a spare for you?????
what motors is your brother running??????? we are looking at the Pirllia 125 TAG for mini next year. along with a HPV to run at South Bend's track. we have also looked at the Comer but it lacks bottom end.

as for the B.M.I. Xray FK/350 we will be running one along side the B.M.I. TC3 when we go indoors.

Thanks

I think my bros helmet is in need of replacement next year too. For him-its worse as he has a awesome paint job on his so its $600 helmet plus $250 or $300 paint job. We wear different size helmets nowadays too. Bell Vortex!! GReat helmet-very expensive, but your brain doesnt grow back if you break it!!!

I am glad to hear you drove the kart. My brother runs for Grand products so he runs the Reed Valve or ICA Comer 100cc motor. HIs main classes are controlled limited and Formula 100 though.

I think if we got Jason into a kart-we might lose him to making RC car chassis!!

Hi,

I think your right. and there's Kart tracks not that far from where he lives either.
we tried to get a ICA class going at the track we race at. but no luck.
Mini didn't make the Red Bull search this year. he only missed by .03th's we will be working on it more next year. the winners get to run the R1 rotax paddle shifter karts at Boston F1.........Lucky peeps!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thanks

Jason, looks like your 350 Xray chassis is catching on. That's great news.
