That's a bold statement to make. But if it's your opinion than that's fine.

The batteries "fading" off can be attributed to more than just the batteries. The majority of the time it's not the batts, it's gearing and/or drivetrain being free.

it is a pretty bold statement because i have done a lot of research on batteries and have found hurricanes to produce the best. its not just my feeling or my .02 its a fact.

my tc3 was very free 20 sec of free spin gearing was perfect.

the battery manufacturers i have tried are promatch, fukuyama,
sanyo, trinity. sorry for posting the facts.

You're right, this isn't the place for a battery war.

Damn.. Another piece of art from one of the best chassis builders quite possibly in the world. Great job Jason, are you making a few for stock? ....Like he would have any stock. Jason cant make chassis fast enough to have any of them around long enough for stock! If there were 60 hours in a day, that would not be enough time. Keep up the superb work and make a little time to race too. Talk to you soon. Eli

Default 19t Spec motor suggestions

I'm running a Reedy Quad and Chameleons at the moment. Right now I'm gearing them at 37/100 (reedy quad) and 39/100 (chameleon) in my BMI TC3 with 58mm tires. The drivetrain is reasonably free and spins for about 3-5 seconds, nothing impressive but not bad. I run 767 brushes and stock springs on all my motors right now and don't have access to a dyno. I'm racing on a 94'x50' carpet track with a reasonably flowing layout. I cranked the Reedy up to 36º but at 37/100 that burned up the brushes in one run... but it was FAST. I typically align bush hoods and try to shim the arm correctly on my motors but don't do much else other than trueing the motor every 3 runs or so.

Here are the questions:
Am I gearing to high or to low for either motor?

Am I using the correct brushes?

Is there another motor I should try?

Should I try Axiom or Putanm motors out (IE... will they likely perform much better than an off the shelf motor)?

I'm running Fukuyama 1.16 and above 3300 packs so I should have good voltage to work with.

Currently I'm running faster laps than all but one of the people at our club. Now if I could just run my fastest laps on every lap I'd be set.

Anyways... any motor suggestions would be greatly appreciated.
