Hi Guy's. I've been reading the BMI forum for a while and should be getting mine soon. A friend of mine here in the UK has one and has ordered me one aswell. Just can't wait to start racing and winning with it.

This weekend i raced my buddy's BMI TC3 and I really liked it. The biggest thing about the car is the consistant feel thru the whole run. I think it's a more stable platform than the plastic chassis. I also get the feeling a lot of the "torque steer" complaints of the average guy are really issues with the chassis doing weird things because one corner is really hot because of the motor. No need to flip the batteries and motor. To tell the truth the car felt like an XXXS that was more reactive. Good job BMI.

hey guys!
Ive been running my bmi for about 2 months now, outdoors only so far, with some very nice results. Im so pleased with it that i recomended it to everyone at my club, shane is one who appreciated a good thing when he saw it! Im gonna be giving it a try indoors this weekend for the first time, and my first time indoors for 2 years. hopefully i will be able to kick a$$, but if not i'll be happy to dominate the D main

My BMI chassis setup on my TC3 is awesome. I have ran carpet and asphalt and it is great. Very consistant overall on both surfaces. The quality it 2nd to none. You won't find a nicer conversion chassis setup for your TC3. The quality of Jason's work is flawless. I normally hate graphite chassis's mainly because you need to file and sand battery slots (I hate that for the price you pay for the kits) but this is already done for you and perfect at that.

Peoples eyes pop out when they see the bmi chassis, the blue top plae I have helps too.

I have noticed a lot of chassis "bowing" on the battery side of the tc3 chassis. It seems that with the battery slots making the chassis weaker than the other side, and the battery strapped down, the battery side of the chassis bows from front to rear quite a bit, and the other side is perfectly striaght.

Does anyone else notice this and what are your remedies and battery security?

Also what handling effects do you see this kind of tweak having? It seems to be ONLY over the area which is unsupported ie right 2". I'm going to see if the tweak upsets any measurements besides ride height, which is down over 1mm at the center. I'm really trying to think this thing through and come up with the best possible remedy, which seems like some kind of outer top support instead of the central support, with risers down the length like the xtreme chassis. I am also thinking of a small aliminum L rail running along each side of the battery to ensure the chassis stays straight.

Thanks,
Randy

How many people run Touring cars on oval? Don't seem like a big market but I could be wrong.

Thats a nice design and a cool idea. But dont you think a TC is a little complicated for an oval guy? Too much spinning in circles makes a guy dizzy.

J.K. Im an oval guy so I can make fun of myself if I want to.

robk - the BMI/TC3 you ran looked really good...was my first night running foams and wish i could have joined you in the A.

so you think overall the BMI makes the car feel more consistant? what other things if any did you notice when running at RSJ.
