I also had some ideas as well.. and i did see the 2 piece brace on other r2's.. the biggest thing is the battery brace, tape is good too but I like to be able to mount my battery and not have to worry about changing tape .. and if everything is designed to save weight .. a brace couldnt be that much heavier., and have any effect on handling...

i think something that could work Jason is make a couple 4 cell sedan chassis like the tc3 x-ray barracuda SD...you never know it could be the wave of the future....just as long as i get to track test em all...just cut out two battery slots ...easy enough right?

R/C A:

We have had some mod guys running 4 cell in their TC3's at our track. looked almost as fast as the 6 cell cars. I'll get with Jason about the 6 cell 1/12th sedans. about the only thing I see being a slight problem is space for the electronics.at least fro those of us who don't run blue.

Thanks

Thanks for all of the Diff Housing responses guys. I did find some machined aluminum diff housings in blue and silver. RDlogics has them and they are only $40.00 for the pair (front and rear).

I have also been in contact with Jason about an LTO Oval chassis for the TC3. Looking to run them this year and at the Snowbirds in 2005...............

Again thanks for all of the help guys.

upcoming chassis will be the Yokomo Sd chassis, the "cuda" that was supplied by mb racer. another chassis is in the works also.

I would also like to see a tc3 LTO chassis for the birds race. This year was my 3rd year in the class and I to custom make a tc3 chassis fitted with an L4O tray. The car worked great, qualifying only .2 off of TQ. The main however was shear brutality

My buddy also fitted a tray to his xray and soon after Superior Hobbies was outfitting their Corally with a tray as well.

A TC3 styled chassis with some "slider tray" ability would be awesome. I won this class in 2003 at the Snowbirds and each year it keep s getting faster and more advanced!

I have been in contact with Jason about an LTO chassis for the TC3. We have discussed a slider but not sure what is gonna come off the machines first. I am pushing for a slider.

We have discussed a left side electronics mounting as well as having the battery far left. This would include an all new motor mount and chassis design to fit everything on the left side of the center shaft.

We have discussed having the battery centered and a 7th cell slot to move the pack to the rear (solid chassis).

The chassis he is working on with me will be drilled to accept the Nitro TC3 rear pivot block for the added comfort of adjustable rear toe.

Oval only shock towers may follow as well. Roll center adjustments will be different/higher on the left side than on the right.

It is great that Jason is working with us (Tornado Racing/PRS) on an Oval only design.

He said we may have a cut chassis by late next week.
