Are these wheels made by CRC and if so, will the yellow color be an available option?

They are Not CRC wheels.

We have no plans right now for any other color wheels.

Thanks for clearing that up guys, not sure if you had seen it or not, so I thought I would point it out to ya. IF you do ever decide to produce colored wheels, I do like the yellow

Just my opinion, but there's nothing more badass looking than a 1/12 car with black wheels...

This isn't really a 1/12 car, but it looks like one, and it's painted like one...

Is there anywhere I can find the team driver set-ups for the GenX-10 from the Carpet Nats, or from the Granslam series races? Trying to set-up my new car, and I know little to nothing about pan cars.

It's the year 2010. Shouldn't vacuum cleaners be quieter by now?

The stock setup is a great starting point for most circumstances...be it 4-cell NIMH or lipo.

Calling all pan car dudes in the Los Angeles area. I am trying to get a core of guys that want to run pan cars at least once a month at Crystal Park Raceway. At the moment we meet for racing the 3rd Saturday of the month. I want to push for the pro 10 class but willing to go World GT if the majority rules. The track as you will see is a nice big track and would be ideal for Pro 10. Currently I am running Novak 3.5r, lipo. But again as stated I can easily swap to a 10.5 or 17.5 for World GT. Let me know if you are in the area and see if we can meet up any weekend for practice before racing.

Here are some recent pictures of the track and of my car:

One of the nitro guys I see at the track running an electric touring car

finally got a setup sheet up on the CRC site for the GenX10...

http://www.teamcrc.com/crc/modules.p...showpage&pid=7

Tom Firsching's TQ and winning Cleveland setup is at the top, and there's a blank one down the page on the right.

Not real fancy, but it works.

Thanks John.

Any setup for Gen-X 10 on asphalt?

Any suggestions for how to convert to single cell lipo per the new ROAR announcement?

Bill

Default 12th scale Tire Shores

Is there a link to the most current tire compounds with shores offered by CRC?

Any ideas when the Gen-X 12 lipo version will be out? I want to get one again, but I would rather wait and get all the stuff I need in the fall when the season picks up again. Thanks for the great cars and even better support.

Default Single Cell Lipo in Gen-X 10

Here are pictures of a new single cell setup in my Gen-X 10.

Using the CRC platform for the ESC. Cutout a portion of the standard NIMH battery tray to act as the spacer to hold the TP5000 1S pack in place in the lipo tray.

With the Novak Power Booster, you use a separate on/off switch attached to that. Therefore, the ESC's on/off switch is taped in the off position and secured in the space between the battery pack and ESC.

Not sure with everything down the center that there is enough weight transfer from side-to-side for asphalt. Should be good for high traction carpet though.

Car is about 940 grams with 56/58 mm tires and easily comes down to the 930 gram minimum weight specified for the IIC this year.

Working on the springs, lubes and gearing aspects.

My X 10 1S car now has the long side links option installed on it. Smoothed things out a tad for asphalt; but, may be back to the short links on carpet.

Pretty much have settled on the gearing for NorCal Hobbies asphalt. All the weight being in the center does not appear to present any problems on mid-to-high traction asphalt.

Will try to make the IIC Warmup Race at A-Main Hobbies next weekend to get in some carpet testing.

Bill
