Hey Fukuyama guys, I just ran my first pack I bought from you this last weekend, and I must say. WOW the pack blew away my usual race day integy packs, and the first thing I did this Monday morning was order a new pack from you guys.

I also wanted to ask you guys a question, my local R/C club is host to an annual R/C event called the Summer Sizzler. It is probably the longest running R/C event in the Seattle/Roar Region 11 area (since mid-80's). Its usually a two day affair with practices being held on Friday nights
http://home.att.net/~fantasyworldracing/

Yesterday Dave, the owner of Fantasy World Hobby (the race promoter) gave out the call for race sponsers. If you dont know fantasy world, then check out the pictures from this years on-road nationals in Portland....

a pic of the cars that competed at Nationals....

And here is last years Summer Sizzler Winners..

So how about it ? You should give Dave a call at Fantasy World, just chat and ask him why I havent seen Fukuyama batteries in the battery case....1-877-318-7144

Speedyjay - thanks for all the nice words and congratz on your finish. If you want Fantasy World hobbies to stock fukuyama cells, than have them visit the fukuyama website and fill out an application to become a dealer of the cells and motors. www.fukuyamaracing.com

Happy Racing!
John

Well, just got my TCS National Finals confirmation via email. I know Fukuyama cells will give me plenty of power, I just hope I can drive well enough to do 'em justice.

Is it August 28th yet?

I charge mine at 6 amps with a cutoff of .03 to .04 volts per cell.

There's specific charging info at www.fukuyamaracing.com

First race on matched batteries for me tonight! I bought 3 sets of the 1.169V's for 40$ and was very happy! The car didn't die out at the end like it did for my first races a few weeks ago. I was very happy.

Unfortunately in the main, i forgot to strap down my battery and it came out. Somehow it flew out of the bucket and I think I ran over it, or something but my rear tie-rod ball cup sheared right off. I am sad, but at least it's an easy fix.

I will buy more batteries when I get more $.

Oh yeah, I had my batteries in my toolbox. BAD IDEA. One of the packs got shorted, i guess, and the battery sizzled once I closed the drawer. I was wondering what the hell that sizzling sound was, and then I saw smoke coming out of my toolbox. I got to it in time before it lit up the 3 other packs I own, but man, I just lost a lot of money tonight. I think I will try to buy one cell to fix that cell that I lost, but it's a shame.

That's my race summary.

I led the B main but breaking that knuckle took me out of the race

Donoman - Glad you like the cells. Protect them more carefully. They're a good investment and will provide many good charges and and fast races. I suggest that you purchase a 6 cell fukuyama battery holder to protect your investment . They're nice, and they have motor cases as well.

nick: for the yokomo charger and fukuyama batteries.. set your charger to:

10m/v cut off... if the batteries arent too hot, bump it up to 20mv for a little more run time

if you use PEAKCHRG, set the MAH to 3900 or 4500. the yokomo guys here use 4500. i set mine to 3900 because my batteries arent as good as their. for the temp, 44degree C. 45 is a tad hot.

and for voltage.. set it to 10.0v. and of course.. charge at 5-6amps depending on your race conditions. good luck!

I'm running in the KO Race Saturday and Sunday. It's going to be fun racing with the guys I'm signed up with in Mod. I'm not really expecting a good finish but it'll be one hell of a learning experiance running with some of the top drivers in the world.

BTW- The Hitec race was kind of a bust for me. Power was great as always but I was chasing the handle on the car through qualifying and ended up qualifying 4th in the B main in Expert Mod. I passed the three cars in front of me before we exited the firts turn and lead from there until halfway through the last lap when a backmarker spun out while I was going by and took me out. I ended up 2nd to Mike Mayberry of Hitec. I still had fun though.
