Default Race Results for July 11-12, 2004

I raced in Memphis this past weekend at the TCS Qualifier at HobbyTown. I was able to qualify 2nd in 19T at Saturday's warmup race and finished 5th due to some bumpin' and nudging that went on during the latter part of the race. I can't remember where Wes finished, but it was ahead of me.

Sunday, I was able to qualify 8th (of 10) in GT1 (19T and double deck cars) and finish 8th after clipping a pipe and losing a kingpin and turnbuckle. Again, Wes finished ahead of me. But, we both qualified for Nationals. I can't speak for Wes, but I'm definitely going to Nats.

Wes was also able to take third in F201, qualifying for a second class at Nats.

My Fukuyama cells were strong all weekend long, despite the intense heat and even more intense competition and never showed signs of quitting. Dan, you guys are turning out incredible batteries. Thanks again!

Hey Rob
Nice finish at the tamiya race. Lee Passehl was my man to root for. Lee and Myself were going through an intense practice mode to get him ready to dominate memphis and cali.

Thanks, Steven. There were a lot of "firsts" this weekend. First time to run the 414, first time in a parking lot (much different than a permanent indoor facility!) and first time to run a one-way. So, I'm pretty pleased with the results. I've ordered a diff for the 414, so it should be alot more comfortable at Nats. I liked the one-way when everything went right, but I was so inconsistent with it, that I think it hampered my perfomance rather than enhanced it. I need to work more with it, but I don't think that now is the time to do it.

Ran a Reedy Quad Mag in the first round, ran a Chameleon2 in the second round (and toasted it... finished the race, but it was dead,) so I had to go back to my Reedy for the main. In THAT car, I preferred the C2. In my XRay, I like the Reedy. Go figure...

Default I'm Back

Hello, and glad to see all our team drivers doing good in big races like usual.

I was out of town with my in-laws and didn't get a chance to reply to some of the emails or phone calls in the last couple of days. I apologize for this.

Our new MAKO motors are back in stock, our batteries are better then ever.. This is the time for those of you to stock up on our Fukuyama Racing and Fukuyama Motorsports products. Again, thank you very much for your continuing support..

Dan

After reading this post for some time now and also noticing a lot of people at SoCal with FR packs, I decided to try them out. I managed to buy a couple of new packs from a racer leaving the hobby.

Do you guys (on average) run them only once per race day? Does this include when practicing before racing? I have a limited amount of packs so I want them to last. I plan on taking good care of them (as I do with my other packs) by discharging and traying to 0.9V.

Thanks.

i don't run my packs more than twice a day....

and I always discharge them down to 5,4volts...then let the packs rest at least for 90minutes before charging again....

running them twice a day is optimum, but they can live with 3

leave them to cool for as long as possible between discharge/charge
