Do your batteries have some sort of date identification on them?
The reason I ask is a local guy is selling some packs and says they are only a couple of months old, but does not have a receipt to show me.

fist of all look to see if it's a newer short can GP3300 Cell.. both the +&- side should be flush.... if they are not they are the last batch of GP3300's which would have a raised + side and the version before that would be rainbow colored..

Its the other way around! The shortstack cells are the newer ones. These are the ones in the standard GP colors; Orange/Green.

Hardriven, thats what he said. Dave said that if the tabs are not flush, they are the last batch, meaning not the current batch

hey Dan.. had a question. imost all my cells are Fukuyamas, but i am heading to the TCS race in Memphis in July, and have to run stick packs in the F1 car.

if i order more cells, do you have a good way to build sticks? im just not sure those little tin bars in the stick pack building kits are all that hot....

And if nothing else, Wes, you could always ask Dave at Action Hobbies if he still has his stick pack building jig, he showed me years ago how to put 'em together without any braid or bars, just tinning the ends of the cells, carefully heating the proper end of both cells together, & quickly pushing them together while the solder is still in liquid form. It's not easy(to put together or take apart later), but it does work....

Hey guys. Just woke up after getting home late after the race. My goal of a top 25 of 100 overall qualifing spot was met, barely. Qualified 4th in the C. Ended up 7th in the race thanks to someone deciding to use my bumper as their brakes going into the hairpin while I was chasing down 2nd place. Oh well. Hacks are part of racing.

Dan- Thanks for all the help and encouragement this weekend. It really helped a ton. Packs were great all weekend and having you there to calm me down and realax me helped. Thanks man.

Thanks to Mark Franco for the motors. I think if I hadn't picked something up in the com and burned up the tires in the last round yesterday I would have put together a good last run to bump into the B. We went for it. It was either going to be my fastest or my slowest and it was my slowest

I didn't have a stunning finish but it's a hell of an improvement from last year. Next year - A main baby!

I was nice to meet Dan this weekend. It was cool that he watched a couple of my races. Too bad I broke out of them. There's always next year and I will be back with something to prove.

Only had one clean run in qualifying (3rd overall for the round) and ended up qualifying 4th in the B in open mod and I finished 4th in the main. The car was a top 5 car but the driver wasn't up to it this weekend.
