Default Mako

Just got my motor yesterday and was wondering what everyone is gearing this bab boy at.

Not that it matters, but I have a TC3.

Thanks...

Default Fuku motor

Hi Fuku fan's I race my fuku motor this weekend and the motor
ran very hot I tried everthing to get the motor to run cool but
it will not run cool, I went down on the pinion and that did not work I tried different brushes and spring and it will not go down
on the temp, did any of you fuku drivers have this problem.

Re: 'Mako'

I also ran this motor on the weekend.

Before I put it in my car, I broke the motor in for 3 mins on the LRP @ 2 volts. 8..9..10.. 11amps!

Then did a RPM check with the CTX running it at 6.5volts. Forgot how many amps it was drawing but it did 34,000rpms on average.

After the first run with the motor which was damn FAST! I put it back on the LRP @ 2 volts. Averaged 7 amps.

Very impressed with the motor though it did run a little hotter compared to the Putnum.

Anyone know what brushes are used on the Mako?

Hi Asimo,

These are Fukuyama Racing brushes different from other brushes available in market.

Send Dan a mail and you should be able to buy some pairs.

I ran the mako and if you read above you will see what I did to solve the problem. I also use a tc3 and the motor was very fast but ran hot. I just sent it in for the company to have a look at it yesterday. The mako likes to be geared at 34 pinion on 100 tooth spur for a tc3 for tracks that have a medium length straight.
