Novak's new discharger should be good, tower and hobby people have listed it @ 84.99.

I've been using http://www.teamorion.com/products/ch...sp#Dischargers #31100, active discharging device.

My charges average about 3600-3700 total mah after using the trays. Only problem: they are hard to find in the US for some reason.

It has been my experience that the packs that peak at a lower voltage (as in 9.1 versus 9.6) are the better packs. but that voltage isn't what the pack has in it when you start the race. 9 volts would fry most speedos. The pack falls down to below 8 volts within a second of any kind of load. They can hang around 7.5 volts for a little while if there isn't a huge load (less than 20 amps)

I should make it to the next Norco race. I like the Rayspeed. When the Novak one hits it should be very nice too. The two things I like about the Rayspeed are the .9v cutoff and the fact you can either do a 5 amp discharge or a 1 amp. I usually do both. I'll equalize @ 5 amps, then flip it to 1 amp and let it drop them down and put them on the charger as soon as it cuts off.

That sucks that Cali is covered. Not that I have the credentials, yet

See you all at the track.

Anyone going to La Mirada in 2 weeks?
