Definately fun racing with you Howard, the car was working descent for that half of the race that we were bumper to bumper, but couple mins in it started it's glitch, so when you made it by, there was no catching up, I actually ended up pulling off on that round because I couldn't control the car...

Randy - what car are you going to get now since your selling your cars? Are you done with Yokomo's? Maybe you can start up a Vietnamese resturant??

Yeah, the glitch actually got much worse outdoors, I just cant figure it out, but it could have had something to do with overhead power lines as well. I was actually glitching all day at SoCal, just not so bad with the stock motor.

It was very cool meeting you and hanging out.

I dont know if Im done with Yokomo's, but if I do get one, it'll be the Rayspeed or a new CGM. For now, I'm going to the belt drive dark side to try again

I see Losi in your future.. Though Xray is very nice! I just ordered a BMI blue chassis and upper deck for mine. 3mm, relocating cells towards the center and much stiffer

At this point, I just want to switch to stuff that is redily avalible in a lot of hobby shops, and I really do want to stay away from the double deck cars as much as I can as well. I'm goin back to the easy to find Airtronics M8, and Novak ESC's as well...

Wow, a whole new start. I'm surprized to see you giving up your magnum. Futaba supplies are generally just as popular as M8's. What speedo were you using? I found my GT7, GM V8 and Keyence all very good speedos with no problems.

Back to the Losi agian...Randy?
415? Try the Keyence speedo... I had a chance to try it over the weekend...packs a lot more punch than the GT7 or KO.

I'm just really frustrated... the glitch was annoying up until yesterday when it cost me some races. I have no clue what it is though, could be the chassis on the car, could be the radio, I dont know so I'm going to just buy both new. I'm goin with Airtronics just because I've owned 3 M8's and all worked fine for me, easy to use on top of that. As for ESC, I'll propably just grab a GT7 until their new one comes out.

Well I had fun at the USTC race. I was planning on running stock foam, but the car sucked so bad I put my rubber car on the track and it was handling good. I was sitting 7th over all in stock rubber untill the final heat when 3 people bumped to the A. So I ended up 11th. Was running 1st through most of the B then I got taken out 3 times and ended up 4th. I started traction rolling at the end of the first day and never got the car to come back for me. Overall I had fun at my first big race.

The reason I got rid of the Losi is because it didn't come out of the corners as strong as my shaft drive cars, but now that the new black belt and cutting teeth off the belt tricks have come around, they are stronger than ever out of the corners. I also know the car carries more cornerspeed than anything else, mine definately did.

I've been told by a lot of people to go with the Keyence, but I'm going to try and stick mainly to mod for the time bieng, I'm just about as good as Im gonna get with a stock motor, only one way to get better is go to a faster motor. I dont know how good the Keyence will do with a mod, but yesterday my buddy Don Vinkemulder (sp?) set new track records for mod and 19t with his keyence powered car.

Haven't tried the mod profiles yet on my Keyence..but I heard it was very smooth... the plus side is you don't have to solder any diode or any large power caps...

Well Steve Wang has killer deals on the Keyence V-Zero Extreme. It's where I got mine that's in my Yok right now (Sitting on the shelf with some messed up difs!) Poor car. I would recommend the Keyence, great piece of equipment and it talks to you
