Actually, I may be going crazy, but I dont remember seeing any capacitor on there. I'll be back at SoCal next Tuesday, I'll take another look and let you know.

Got to run my Fukuyama packs for the first time tonight, very impressed. It was a good night, I got to run my CGM car for the first time (it's dialed) and I had the mad rip to make it fun

I will also try out my 1.58, 1.157, and 1.153 at MARCCA tomorrow. Havent run them yet, just charged and discharged once (noticed that first charge kinda sucks).

My 969 charger isnt working too well. Like it seems like its false peaking.

Anyone here use the 969 with fuku packs? Tell me what your settings are please!!!!

I haven't used the 969 but I had the 959 a while agoand my brother in law has one now and they always false peaked. Drove me nuts. The only thing it never false peaked on were my micro packs.

I have a feeling it is false peaking really bad. I will have to get a new charger soon . It was $120 too.....Worked fine with my regular nimh packs .

What is a REALLY GOOD charger for under $150 that is known to have good reliability and at least 6 amps? thanks

LRP Sport. I have the competiton model and I love it. I'm sure this will work just as good for you.

I was thinking about getting that as an alternative...Thanks ill check it out!

DAMN that is a GREAT deal!! Ill have to see if my lhs has some, so I can get some for my race tomorrow.

I hope charging my packs with the 969 at 4.5 amps for one charge hasnt damaged them or built in a "liking" for 4.5 amps?

You'll be OK. I've charged my packs at different rates for different classes and they've been fine. I think that price is a deal that Stromer is having right now. I doubt you'd find that price at a LHS. Won't hurt to try though. But even still, I don't think the street price on that charger is more than $135. The $200 price they're talking about on there is the list price I think. The Comptition model I have was only $180.

That's one thing you really don't want to scrimp on is a charger. I learned that the hard way. I was going to go all out and get a GFX when they came out but didn't think I'd use all the features. So just got the LRP. It's a very good charger but I'm looking at all the things some of my buddies that have the GFX are doing and I wish I had gotten one. Most people can deal without those features though. I am. But the worst thing to do in my opinion when you're paying this much for good high end matched packs is go out and buy a 60 or 70 dollar charger that could damage your packs. A good high quality charger is one of the best investments you can make. Either one of the LRP's, the Yokomo, any of those in that range would be a good bet. I'm not a fan of the Reedy's just because I had one burn out on me and the repair cost was $95.
