Jimmy,

I had TQ by 8 seconds until a fellow racer decided I shouldn't have it Car was just ballistic yesterday. Fastest lap was 10.8 and I had 6 or 7 10.7's in the main. Absolutely dialed.

Racers,

Go get some of these Fuku cells. You will not be disappointed. If you have any questions about charging and discharging let me know. I am here to help.

THANKS JIMMY & DANIEL

I was the same way this weekend as well. For the 3rd qualifier I had three laps on the field at the end of the 5 minute main. I wasn't TQ this week as we all decided to bump it up from 19 turn and run total mod. I was running a Reedy T1 11 turn double with my XRAY 1.77 gears and I had so much punch I was always getting the hole shot and an early lead to the race. Small 58 mm foam dia limited my straight line speed so I wasn't the fastest on the straight, but my car was dialed and I could take everyone inside on the twisties I never had such a good time as I do now with these cells. They make all the difference. If I had Jimmy's knowledge of motors now than I would feel like a king

Any questions, please ask me as well. We're all here to help

Devin.. How were you gearing your X-Ray... what was your roll out?

I am running a 8x2 with a 19 rollout and this wekeend with some old packs my Brushes came unsoldered from the motor. The Gear mesh was fine and the car drivetrain spins for about 5-6 seconds without the pinion touching the spur. I could not figure it out.

What are you guys charging your packs at for mod. I was thinking 5 amps with 30mv cutoff.

Stock and 19 turn 6amps with 30mv cutoff.

B4 5.5 amps with 30mv cuttoff.

Thanks

Hey Mike,

For my Reedy 11 turn I was running a 124/32 with the 1.77's so that gives me a 6.86 final ratio. This could get a bit hot, but I have a 5 volt fan blowing on top of the end bell so that helps it cool quite a bit and not overheat for a lower ratio. I got a Orion 7CFM fan...quite a bit of airflow for .013 amp draw if that is correct, maybe .13..I need to check out the specs of the fan again. It's quite a big track you need to push the motor a bit. I found no discoloration of the brushes or comm.

I'm charging at 6 amps at .03 on my CE GFX. Repeak 5 minutes before the race at 5.5 amps @ .01 cutoff.

You must really be heating up the motor to have the brushes come unsoldered. My Mod was running about 130 degrees.

Hope this helps.
John

I have no clue what I did. I was running 125/27 with 60mm foam tires. The car ran fine for the first pack and then the second pack at the end of the run I knowticed the brush shunts were not connected. This is with a Reedy Ti 8x2.

Bizzare. Maybe one of the motor bearings locked up.

Yea... I checked that also. THe comm spins really well in the motor. Indoor racing is starting in 2 weeks so as long as I have it figured out by then I should be good. We have a lot of talented Factory Team Drivers are our indoor carpet track so hopefully I will be able to keep up with them.

What springs are you using on the motor? If they are the stock springs then that is your problem. You need something stronger like trinity's purple or Reedy equivalent. Usually running around 18 degrees of timing helps.

I was running team paradigm purple and red springs in my Reedy Ti 11 double. Seem to work well, 24 timing.
