Scrad.

I'll be running stock/rubber. I haven't raced in about a month so it might be ugly

but i'll be there with 'Euge' from this forum....looks for the blue/white TC3 w/ Peak Racing and Fukuyama Racing decals.

i'll keep an eye out for you because i'm interested in learning more about 12th scale cars.

hopefully we can do these Fukuyama cells some justice and drive to some fast finishes.

Hi Gang,
This is mt first post on these formus. I recently traded my Picco .15 equipped Losi XXXnt for a Factor team Tc3- Now I need some advice...

I plan to run a large asphalt track (see www.sugarhillrc.com) And I need tips on batteries(duh) and a motor(slightly off topics)
Im only 14, kinda limited on funds. I run an online store to pay the "bills"( Bills= RC )

My equipment now:

Novak Duster 2 sport 12 turn limit
Two packs of Sanyo 2400's and one pack of matched 3300's. As you know im new to electrics and just found the meaning to all of these new terms. I looked on my batteries and found out they were worse than your "not so top-of-the-line ones" My 3300's stats:
SEC 0396
AV 1.149/ 1.448 different on cells
IR 18
CTF 0.90
DIS- 30

Are these really bad? My motor is a totally toasted stock 27 T. Im looking to get into mod racing, and suggestions on motor? Reedy 12t Double? Prices

Now back to the batteries.
Ive ready up through page 24 of this thread and the stopped reading. Man this thread is massive.

Jimmy Fukuyama,

Would it be possible to get a decent(race suitable) battery pack already soldered? I currently do not have any equipmen to do this, and will probably do a poor job. What would be the price?

Thanks in advance for the help.
Look for me @ the World championships.

reznikvova~

check out fuku's web site~ you will find all the info you need
and fuku do build packs for customers for an addition charge something like 6 bux

as for equipment don't get too hung up on getting the best out there, try to race once or twice to get a hang of it and decide what you need to fix

Your #s are good, the difference is not going to help yet. The 2400 might not make run time in MOD, but the matched 3300s you have are perfect. What kind of charger do you have?

With another set of the Good ones, you will not have any battery problems. Just save the FuKuyama pack for the main. I run 2 packs for 3 heats and a main, just be sure to let them cool completly before recharging.

reznikvova- Same here, my motor is in need of a lathe so i can't race. I race stock, and have 3 2400's, and a 3300, i use them in that order for 3 heats, and a main. My numbers on some of my batteries are the same as yours, and i have no problem, i just need a good setup.

By cut do you mean the comm needs to be cleaned? I just take fine sand paper to it and clean all the gunk off. Is this not correct?

oh, are u knew to the hobby, just wondering. the comm need to be cut, means that you put the armature on a special comm lathe, and trim off a little bit of the top layer of the comm. Taking fine sand paper to it might work, but shouldn't be done on a race motor. On abashing motor it might work, but won't give you the power you need. As a brush werars on the comm, it "scratches" or cuts into the comm. After awhile, the "dimple" starts to decreases the amount of energy getting from the brush to the comm. Making the comm perfectly round will make the brush and comm perfectly flush, and allows all the power or energy possible to get to the armature.

Hi,
Im new to Car motors. Ive been flying Rc planes and driving nitro cars for 4 years.

How much does one of these lathes cost? How many times can the Comm be cut? Once its cut too much you throw it away?
