my god you are pumping those batteries arent you???

I use different power supplies for my main chargers and for the dischargers.

I use a converted wall adapter that is rated for 1A for the dischargers. CTX-D is rated for 350ma and my lrp conditioner 2 is rated for 100ma power drain. so it is enough.

the reason I separetad the dischargers from the chargers is that I have read on the teck talk of TMM about the charger and discharger shorting out when the ctx-d is used for cell voltage readouts during charging with CM. (was that a ridicilusly long sentence or what)

the reason I use seperate PSus is incase the un expected happens and a PSU dies I am not left out with out a power supply... so each charger gets its own power supply.. be it 8 A or 45A... I feel more secure...

For the fans, is it OK for TMM if we replace the fans or they used these for a specific purpose...for ex... high speed extra volume fans or something like that..

It will discharge up to six cells down to .9v at a max rate of 3amps. What is really nice is that it is nice and small and doesn't use any outside powersource like some other units.

I've been testing it on my Trinity IB4600's and it has helped keep them in great condition. If you are using NIMH batteries this is definately a tool you should try.

It should be available somtime this summer!!

"Blue" LED is a typo from my previous cell equalizer post.
I forgot to change it to red led when I copied pack equalizer's manual text. sorry! There's no blue LED on Cell Equalizer, (Pack Equalizer does).

※UNTRAY YOUR BATTERY PACK FROM THE DISCHARGER IMMEDIATELY AS SOON AS RED LED IS OFF. UNLESS, PACK EQUALIZER WILL KEEP DISCHARGE THE PACK AT VERY LOW RATE. IT MAY CAUSE SOME OF NIMH CELLS TO PERMANENT DAMAGE.

Either of Red LED will light up along the battery bars direction.

The reason we use high rpm fans for CTX-D2 is to check each cell's data precisely. If you do not need precise data, you can change the fans to having lower rpms.

As for Cell master charger, we strongly prohibit changing fans.
the chargers FETs generate alot of heat during charge and the high rpm fans cool down them effectively.
The fets will get hotter when you charge single cell at high amp or discharge many cells(8cells) at 10A.

so If would charge only 5-6cells, lower rpm fans may work fine. but I don't really recommend for that..

thanks Ryan, I thought there has the be a reason for those fans.. No problems at the track, but it is really hard on married guys

Do you have any suggestions on the 4600 profile and power supply issue?

is switching power supply from meanwell good enought at 8.5 amps or we need the higher amps, or should we use a PSU such as the old rivergates... (diode and big caps coupled to a big transformer)
