mx887,
It's unfortunate that you had a poor experience with your Murfdogg Synergy Motor. Assuming you're a seasoned racer, one would imagine your apporch to resolving an issue would have been professional. The primary reason many choose Murfdogg Products is to have an outstanding performance product and unsurpassed customer support. I've personnaly raced with these products in both Onroad and Offroad applications for more than a year, with nothing but tremendous success and no issues. Best of luck in your future RC endevors, with whichever products you choose.
BTW: 10.5T was spot on last night during Onroad practice, after making recommended mild ESC programming adjustments.

Thanks for the support guys. The majority of the RCTECH public know what this guys deal is...

This guy just emailed me claiming that he plans on bashing me, my company, and my products continually. He told me to expect a 15% drop in sale next year.

Thankfully, everyone knows the kind of idiots who post this crap, and if anything, his efforts are going to increase my sales by 25%. Keep it up MX887. I appreciate the advertising you are doing for me and my products.

Report after Night 2 Of Outlaw Sprint Car racing at Teas Hobbies in Rochester,MN.
Definite improvement. 5.5 motor, after getting really hot, performed flawlessly and propelled me to a C-main win and a 3rd in the B-main to bum,p to the A-main. I ended up 5th but was only a 1/2 lap from 3rd place. I had my best lap times ever and also turned my best run in ever. The car has at least 3-5 more laps in it too. If not for a 9 second lap on lap 48 I would have had 3rd and also my best ever by 2 laps. Motor never got hotter than 140 and ran mostly 130 for the night. I installed the Murfdogg fan set up for my Hustler sprinter and I'm sure that helped. Thanks Keith

what is the 5.5 turn syn motor meant for, there was one for sale for cheap i tossed a bid on and was going to toss it in my 2wed stadium truck to replace the castle 3800kv.

Also these are 2 or 4 pole motor's?

I want to get into 17.5 class racing and run one but trying to figure out if I can make race nights first.

All Murfdogg motors are 2 pole. A 5.5 will be a lot of motor for a 2w stadium truck for racing, you will spend most of your time figuring out how to stay on the track and keep the front wheels on the ground with that motor. Defiantly check out your local track and see what classes they race for stadium truck. 17.5 stock is a good class and Murfdogg makes a great motor for that class.

Introducing: MurfDogg Racing’s new OCTANE BOOSTER Power Control Module.
MurfDogg Racing has developed the OCTANE BOOSTER Power Control Module specifically for use with Tekin RS and RS PRO ESC’s. The OCTANE BOOSTER Module replaces your stock Tekin Power Capacitor. Many top racers have been soldering 2 Tekin Power Capacitors to their ESC units for added performance.

The MurfDogg OCTANE BOOSTER gives you the performance of more than 4 stock power capacitors in a compact, user friendly unit. Unlike capacitors with radial leads that can break off in a crash, our unit has 3 surface mounted capacitors, mounted directly onto a circuit board for the strongest, best performing power module possible. Flexible 20 gauge wire leads allow you to attach the power module to the top of your ESC, or mount it remotely depending on your specific needs.

Why do you NEED the OCTANE BOOSTER?
- The OCTANE BOOSTER stores battery voltage when off throttle or under braking. This voltage is then used to increase punch when throttle is applied. Braking feel is also improved.
- The OCTANE BOOSTER lowers the combined internal resistance of the ESC/Battery unit under load. This helps you maintain battery voltage longer into the run, and helps your motor and ESC run cooler and more efficiently. You
- High power racing motors produce a ripple current onto the battery voltage. The lower the number of turns, the higher the ripple current. The OCTANE BOOSTER Module suppresses much of the ripple current, ensuring maximum battery voltage is available for the ESC and Motor for Maximum Punch.

Why not just run a BIG power capacitor?
- Size of the capacitor does not tell the whole story. More important than size is the capacitors ESR value (equivalent series resistance). The lower the ESR value is the better (less resistance). Our low ESR power capacitors are surface mounted for maximum efficiency and minimum resistance.

The OCTANE BOOSTER will provide racers with the maximum performance available from their Tekin RS/RS PRO ESC. Use of the MurfDogg OCTANE BOOSTER will provide the racer with more punch, better braking, cooler motor and ESC temps, more runtime, better battery voltage deeper into the run, and a very durable power capacitor module.

Available Early December - Part # OB-01 - Price $20.00

Oh Man I need one of these! I have killed so many of the Tekin ones and in 4x4 SC and I have to run two of them.

Sounds like another great product from Murfdogg.
