72/26 in the ZX-5 FDR at 6.92

72/30 in the RB5 FDR at 6.24 (work in progress might go up a tooth)

Had my first race with my Murfdogg 17.5 and that came with my first win with my Murffdogg Power was nice a smooth, and temps were only 115* after 6:30 minutes. I can't wait till my new battery and speed control are here so I can play with some boost. With the temps I have I for sure have some room to play with.

Shanty - Glad to hear that you are enjoying your motor!

Now that your back I need advice before using your motor this weekend. Not going to change from LRP so help at first if anyone is using that esc. I have the SXX Stock Spec latest version and I've only ran 1 weekend with it. Had a fantom 17.5 in the car and had boost set at level 7 of 10. Car was really fast and never really got warm at all. Rollout was 1.92- 1.99 and was best around 1.95. Timing settings on motor or maybe I should just go with same setup and adjust. I've read most of this thread so see that you recommend zero timing. I'm open for opinions. Keith

Keith,
Tell me about your track. Size? Bite level? Car? Tire Size? Trans Ratio?

I'd say you are probably running on a short track...maybe 140ft runline?

Start where you were boost wise, and 0 motor timing. As i tell everyone, I do not have experience with the LRP SSX SS Speedos, so I would start with a 1.85 - 1.90 rollout, and gear to come off about 155F.

Matt

Had another great nite of racing with my MufDogg 13.5 1s. Motor was consistent from start to finish in each 8min run. Temps were 140deg. Motor physical timing set at 0. RS boost 45 with a start rpm of 3624 and end at 7000. Turbo is 12 with a ramp set at 3. Rollout was 76mm.

Happy Holidays everyone. Here is to a great 2011

90x65. Not sure about the race line. Lap times were low 10's with a few 9.8's

almxdup 12-19-2010 06:11 AM

Teas Hobbies and high bite. Running at step 7 of 10 for boost. I'll get runline tonite and also let you know what I may need for more info. I think runline is around 175 but not quite sure. I'll lower my rollout to what you say if it gets too warm. Car is Havoc 2.0 and tire size will be right around 2.5 -2.7. Have Thunder Power 65c packs to use so no lacking of punch. Keith
