Saturday -
Brent Calvert wraps up TQ honors in Both Stock clases at the shootout. Cody Turner does the same in All 3 Super Stock classes. The entire MurfDogg Family is looking very strong. We all ge set for main day.
Sunday -
Craig Turner started 4th in Sportsman Slash and used his MurfDogg Tuned Traxxas Titan Motor to take the overall title!
Brent Calvert Starts from the pole in both stock classes and grabs an A-Main win in each class, but luck was not on his side as he ran into other racers problems. MurfDogg Driver Josh Mitchell took the Stock Truck Win from the second starting spot, while MurfDogg Motor Works newest team driver Rob Gillespie Jr. took the win in Stock Buggy. Brent Calvert ran 2nd in both classes. 8 of 10 drivers in the Stock Truck A-Main chose MurfDogg 17.5 turn power!
Cody Turner was certainly the man of the week. Cody TQed all 3 super stock classes, and went on to dominate The Main events, capturing his second sweep in less than 8 months. Cody also swept all 3 open classes at the Reedy Truck Race last year. Cody chose MurfDogg 13.5 power in Super Stock 4 Wheel Drive Buggy, but to just about everyones surprise, ran MurfDogg 19 turn brushed motors in 2 Wheel Drive Buggy and Truck.
Cody said he likes the powerband much better with brushed motors in the
2WD cars. Cody had as much top speed on the straightaway as any of the top competitors, and more punch than everyone else. Cody was able to jump the triples with ease everytime he was on the track, from start to finish, while many racers had trouble and had to double-single.
All in all it was another great weekend for the MurfDogg Family!
