A technical question. The MM is fitted with 13 gauge wire. I would like to change the motor wires for some new wires, the current ones have been soldered on & off numerous times, so i think its time for some new stuff. Im looking at 12 gauge, but, will this wire fit into the holes in the solder tabs? if not, would it be possible to drill the holes out to accept 12 gauge wire??

Last time I ran my Stampede with the MM5700 and 2S Lipo's it was runnin perfectly with 16/90 gearing. It was a good combination of low end power, good top speed and staying cool but the plastic out drives didnt take to kindly to the add power.

If the original web page is anything to go by its "Coming Soon" but that was about 2 years ago. I see there is even mention of the Monster Max on page 32 of the Castle Drivers Ed book which dates back to 11/2007.

I just hope that we wont be paying for 2+ year old technology when the Monster Max is finally released.

I would just like to share my excellent experience with castle

i sent in a CM2080 1/18 motor in for a warranty service

i sent it in about a year after the warranty period

it had to be replaced due to magnets debonding and a new one was sent off.

but to the incorrect postal code.

i emailed them back and the sent out a second motor the very next day

again, with the incorrect postal code

so i emailed them again and they sent out a third motor no questions asked

it arrived today and the motor was there and also to my suprise there was a very sharp looking castle creations lanyard to clip onto my radio

and written on the invoice was an apology for what happened

i am very very impressed by the quality of the customer support by castle

i for one will continue to run castle products just for the customer support

thats my experience,

Matt

I do sales and while they can't make everyone happy all the time they really do try hard to accomodate everyone. Nice to hear that story because I know in sales almost no one says good things, they normally only complain. If you hear nothing your doing great.

The Monster Max is coming soon. I think spring time which is like Apri or early May. Joe is away at another show so maybe when he is back next week he will be able to verify that either way.

Matt...glad we could help...sorry for any frustration.

Everyone wanting to know the MMM release date. We're releasing as soon as we get all the necessary materials in stock (which are unfortunately out of our hands). So ASAP is the best answer I can give. Realistically it's looking like it's going to be the end of March or beginning of April, but again not 100% positive due to the aforementioned. Cost is looking like $300 for the motor and ESC.

hi... i just got my new mamba max 7700.

i need some help on how to properly calibrate and 'arm' the esc...

i am completely lost after the 3rd step because the esc is not doing what is described on the manual.

when the manuals says there is a blink, red LED, green LED, vibrating, rings, etc its not doing that.

so i dont know what to do next.

please help me. PM me any link or "easy to understand" instructions...

Set up your radio End Point adjustments to at least 100 for throttle and brake. Once that is done just turn on your radio holding full throttle and turn on the speedo and follow the directions from their on Quick Setup. You should be running in less than a minute.

thanks for the quick reply... i'll try that again.

but it says about a confirming tone and blinking. and i'm not getting it.

after a lot of try... i was able to do forwards but no reverse.

now i can do both. but i'm not sure if its properly done.

More than likely if you didn't have it set right you wouldn't have forward and reverse working for you. Seems like you have it right now so time to go have some fun now.

What radio are you using and is it a Spektrum or 2.4 type system.
