Every company wants you to believe they have the best product and will post info that tries to show they are the best. Fact is some is true but against older technology but with the newer Castle software it don't really hold a candle anymore. My Castle is as smooth as any sensored system and when people drive my car they have no idea mine is not sensored until I tell them.

Everyone has opinions on what is best.

the max is good stuff, perhaps lil too much power, but hey... 4600 in a 2wd bug is a great match, fast enuff on tracks w/bite, able to tone down on tracks that dont. will even work well in a truck or 4wd. the mamba 25 i havent much time in on the rug w/the m18, but the 1 race mtg i had with it i was pleased, 1 hit, but not certain if that was a radio or a wire touching carbon, almost missed it if i wasnt lookin for it while practicin. they make good stuff, yeh frustratin when software glitches occur. but they take care of you (after you vent ) . tekin is the same way (well the old tekin, i dont have exp w/new version). novak, wouldnt be surprised if they still say its ur fault when somethin goes wrong but they'll give you 35bux off a new 1.

enjoy

That info on the NROVARK website is a year or more old.

I have to agree with wyd about how smooth the new firmware is but I have had mega-drama's trying to tone down the settings to suit a very rough and loose off road track. I had everything setup perfectly prior to the update, so I guess I have to do more testing.

One thing I have noticed with the new firmware is my temps on both the motor and esc are moderately higher (10-15 degrees C higher) with lipo's and almost no difference with the sub-c's.

What would cause the Mamba Max to apply the brakes all by itself? You can be going down the straight and it will lock the brakes for a second or just come off the lip of a jump and it will lock the brakes.
It has been reprogramed sever times it has the new 1.17 update and the forward neutral and brake are as close as you can get.

let me know.

That would probably depend on what motor and battery your using.

I had that problem when I was on 75MHz too. I figured that it was radio glitching and went to DSM. Haven't seen it since.
