Even without new programming the Mamba Max can run higher KV motors, lower wind brushed motors, won't thermal as easy, a little narrower foot print, can solder the wires on and off, and can run 3 cell lipo on anything and still has better fets so the MM is still superior on alot of things.

No it does not. The MM will have the same software, the firm ware update should be available very soon.

Hopefully the update will help with 4 pole Neu motors. So far they work great in my conversion, not much cogging from a dead stop, if they could eliminate that, I am in nirvana.

Curious, anyone have a 4 pole motor they could bolt up to see if the sidewinder software removes the cogging?

I just ordered a Mamba Sidewinder and Trinity Duo stock motor. I was just curious, do you have to have a sensorless motor to run on a sernsorless esc? I know of 'cogging', but what does that mean exactly? Just curious....

The duo you ordered, thats the 13.5 version right?

Is it sensorless design or a sensored one?

For those with the sidewinder how, can you post some close up picks of it mounted? I am curious how the whole wiring is done on the ESC as from the photos on tower hobbies you see these posts, but I am not sure what they are for.

For those interested, the new version of Castle Link 3.03 is now available as well the new software updates for the Mamba 25 and the Mamba Max to bring them up to the same software as the sidewinder.

Enjoy,

Joe,

what are the changes we should see with this new software? Is there better compatibility with Neu motors now?
