..........."I'm sure you've seen videos of the Permax powered Vendettas and you probably noticed that they are fast in a straight line but not so fast around the track. Some of it is the driver but I think a lot of it is just too much power to push that little car around."

In the Vendetta thread here at least two of the most frequent posters claim repeatedly that the mambas are not powerful enough for the Vendetta.

They concede the mamba works great in the RC18 and the Vendetta isn't that much larger. hmmmmmmm

Yeah that doesn't make much sense to me. I can't see why it wouldn't be powerful enough, but everyone still says that it isn't quite the right size to fit in the properly.
The other brushless motors that people mention (AEON, PERMAX, HACKER etc.) are different sizes so unless someone can find out a good way to get the mamba to fit I suppose we will never see a proper review/answer

Hi, guys. how do i get my 6900 to deliver punch the power like a 7 turn motor. my punch control is 80%. the track is asphalt with med-high grip. is the punch control too low? seems as though i have to full throttle the car. there is a slight lag(not clogging) then a rush of power. i want to deliver the power like a 7turn but not too much to cause excessive wheel spin.

Change your throttle curve on your Castle Link so the throttle comes on faster.

I never use the punch control, for touring there isn't a need.

I have, i really am not a fan of limiters on any surface, thats what the trigger is for. Stuff in gerneral usually seems to run better when it is in linear mode.

I've always ran my touring cars at 0% punch control.

(4600 on carpet, 5700 on carpet, and 5700 on asphalt)

ill have to try it and see what happens. but im thinking with great power this system has it would just cause wheel spin out of the corners, even with a smooth trigger. wwouldn't the 6900 be different from the 5700? i ran a 5700 before and that did feel a 8 turn or so, which i figure would run without punch control.

Mamba Max worked great today in 19T at 301 Raceway. Hope to put my car up towards the front at the Region 2 race next weekend. Car worked great and speedo just as well.

I have LOTS of problems with it. My esc mainboard is loose from the case, I cannot connect it with my pc using the latest software on my XP with SP2, my motor is clicking. It is only 2 -3months old and barely used. I am thinking to send it back to CC (although I live in the Netherlands) cause I bought a bad unit. I now have put back my Mtroniks IP6 esc with Checkpoint motor in my car.
