Talking using an external bec

I would like the full performance my sevo is rated for, and suspect it might help the rx as well. The application is a xxxt (yes i know this is an onroad thread).

I vote for a 6 volt output on the next model, or a firmware fix if possible.

If you are not satisfied with the mambas existing BEC, you can use many aftermarket becs such as dualsky BEC; UBEC; SBEC; DBEC.

We normally use these in aircraft since most BECs overheat as you increase the cell count in your main pack.

REMOVE THE RED WIRE IN YOUR MAMBA's Connector
when installing an external power source such as a bec or Rx pack

Adamge:

Heads up!!

The dimension engineering parkbec or smartbec will not work on 6 roundcells or 2s lipo-- If you use 8 cells nimh or 3 cell (+) they are ok

Default Data Logger

I think this little gadget will have to do while we wait for a "built in" data logger.

rajS - Thanks for posting that link. I think that just might work until the ESC manufacturers start building this into their speedos.

I have also been wondering about the release of the Mamba Monster Max. I noticed that all traces of the system have been removed from the CC web site. I was really hoping to get my hands on one of these systems. Whats up?

Yamrz350:

you can keep the parkbec in storage since you may go more than 2 cell lipo in the near future.

http://www.allerc.com/product_info.php?products_id=2447

here is yet another inexpensive BEC that runs only on 2 cells. I have seen a couple guys at the field use this since 10/2006 using 5 digital servos.
