It's not like a bec/rx cut out. It hesitates or breaks up mid to wo throttle. gearing is 13-46 and I tried it w/3 different 4s packs. The last time I ran my RC8Te outdoor this summer I think it was doing the same thing, obviously 2 different CC systems. It's driving me nutz!
Most issues like what you are describing is due to the use of the wrong gearing. I would drop a few more teeth on the pinion and see what happens.

I will mess w/the gearing some more, It doesn't have a bottom end cog, I almost thought it could be under geared. It seems to have plenty of speed for the track. IDK

Car: RC8.2E Factory Team
Use: bashing and speed run

Set up no1: Mamba Monster esc with 2650kv motor, 17/46 ratio on 4s for around 50mph.

Set up no2: Mamba Monster esc with 2200kv motor, 21/46 ratio on 4s for around 50mph.

1-Wich esc will be cooler?
2-Wich motor will run cooler?
3-Wich set-up will have best acceleration?
4-Wich set-up will have longest run time?

To change the reverse speed on the MMP, you would first have to get the Castle field link card, or some other devise to connect the card to your computer. On the computer that you are using, you must download the software from the castle site. Once you have the software downloaded and a device to connect the ESC to your computer connect the ESC to your computer open the Castle Link software. One of the adjustable parameters is reverse speed.

Default Mamba extreme issue

Hi everyone just wanting to confirm an issue I'm having with my mamba extreme esc, nabbed it from ebay along with a 1717 motor my problem is when powering up the esc I can't get any throttle my steering servo works but nothing else,so after all of my reading searching many hours I've come to the conclusion that I need a traxxas tqi remote and receiver to be able to set the throttle and be able to use it then after that I will be able to use any receiver and remote ?? If some one could confirm this that would be great as I am not sure if this is gonna get it running I've had the car sitting for two weeks now feeling frustrated thanks in advance

Default ESC Never Engages Side Winder 3

I recently got a new tx and rx system for my truck. I had a specktrum system in it and everything worked perfectly. Now when I plug everything into the receiver the ESC just flashes red, yellow, and green and beeps. I have steering control and I swapped channels so both the trigger and wheel work properly on the transmitter. I am have never had an issue like this and I just tested the system on some spare electronics and it worked. It's only when I swapped normal to reverse steering it wouldn't turn on. I swapped it back now nothing. Any help would be much appreciated.

Some radios (futaba ...) you have to reverse the throttle on your transmitter.

Here is a link to light codes.

Tom
I swapped tx and rx and the ESC still does it. This one is not reversed so I don't know what it is? Maybe a short or pinched wire?

To make sure we are on the same page, I am talking of reversing the throttle direction in your transmitter settings. Not the plugs.

Hope this helps.

The best way is to run a low KV motor and high voltage. The other way,it will overheat the motor.
Also,over gearing will overheat everything.

Default Data Log

Cool forum been lurking for while.

Apologies if this has been asked before as I did try searching. I just started looking at the data logs from my MambaX and I have seen some surprisingly high motor rpm numbers. I noticed that motor graph states two pole and as I am running a 4 pole I was wondering if I was getting a false reading?

I'm not allowed to insert the graph image as I'm new but I stripped the spur on the run and it registered just over 149000rpm It's a 5700kv motor on 3S.

EDIT it worked !

Thanks
