I just got a new mamba monster esc for my new Fusion EX1 buggy....

i'm new in the buggy world and just wanna know what is the best gearing for my buggy.... it run on 4 cell lipo (2 2cell lipo on y connection..) and i use a 2045kv motor... don't know what type, pink colour and little bit longer than my mamba max motor...
Most likely a Cermark (Aon) motor. Start out w/12-14T pinion and check motor temps. Keep temps below 160-180F by the end of the run and you're set (ask the motor manufacturer what max temp is!).

Sorry man. Didn't mean to sound defensive...just letting you know that we're normally not asked that ? so I really don't know. Engineers are out of town right now in Chicago, but should be back in the morning. I'll ask them for BOTH OF US.

Default Help Please....

I have a Mamba Max and when I tried to use it, all the leds come on but it doesn't do anything besides gets warm. The leds don't blink, just are on solid. I updated the diver today and I also tried Lipo / NiMH batteries. When it is hooked up to the computer, the red and green leds will blink. Any suggestions? Thanks

On the Mamba Monster Max, what does the low voltage cutoff feel like? Does it completely kill the power or will it just limit the throttle. I've also experienced a short stutter on the throttle. Is this caused by the packs reaching the LVC for a split second?

Default Broken Mamba Combo

I am wondering if anyone else has seen this problem?

I have the Mamba Combo in a E Revo, about 2 months old and been running great with no indications of any problems. Saturday I ran a pair of battery packs with no issues, about 30 mins later, my wife put in a fresh set of packs and tried to run the truck. She asked me to look at it because it ould not run. I turned the power switch off and back on and the ESC beeped once then went off. I flipped the switch a couple more times then pressed on the side of the switch to check the double stick tape as I have a habit of and it started running. It ran for a couple seconds then stopped. I pushed on the switcxh and got opne more beep and then nothing. The ESC and the motor wer cool to the touch, no smoke and no smell. I am assuming it is a bad switch.

If I cut out the switch and put in a new one, any issue with the warrenty? I do not relish the idea of sending this thing to Castle to be charged $100 to replace a $5 switch.

Nope...I remove the switch right out of the box. Take it off, twist the wires together, and if still having issues give us a call. 913-390-6939 and hit 1 for tech support.

Hi Joe,

Do you know if the new sensorless Tamiya brushless ESC and motor is an OEM product of the Mamba Max.

http://www.tamiya.com/english/produc...less/index.htm

I just ask because they look somewhat similar

I doubt it... It's only rated for 7.2 volts...
So unless it's a very cheap version...
