Surely thats no different to cutting off the bullet?, Also how is your speed now on the 7700kv?, i have heard people say its a 3.5T killer, but to me its barely faster than a 5.5T

Thanks Ya`All

What type of batteries (NiMH or lipo)? How many cells? Manufacturer of the cells, capacity, and if lipo, what is the C rating? What battery connectors are you using? Which vehicle and gearing? Also, what is the motor temperature after a run? Let me know. A 7700 should not be anywhere even close to a 5.5T....

Hello,

The 7700 is also not even close to a speed passion 4.5 . I am running 2s lipo, its a reedy 5000 35C, using 4mm bullet connectors. it is in a T2`009 with an 8.7 FDR

Thanks Ya`All

Last year I tried the SP 4.5T (series 1) with my mamba max speedo and with an 6.19 FDR was slower than the 7700 on FDR 7.91.Always on 2S lipo.I sold it after a week.I don't know about the SP series 2 but with the Castle 7700 you cannot go wrong. If you' can find the right gearing you'll be surpised with the performance.

Hello,

What size track are you running on with such FDR ?

Thanks

Something weird going on here. Either the batteries are having a hard time delivering the current the 7700 system wants to draw with your gearing or something is wrong with your motor. If you gear for faster speed (up the pinion, or lower the spur gear tooth count) does it go faster or slower? If slower the batteries are not liking the amp draw.

What are the chances of a Windows Mobile/Pocket PC version of the Castle software? I don't have a laptop, but I always have my phone... It'll stop me having to drive all the way home to adjust my Clodbuster settings...

Hello,

I used these same batteries on the sp4.5/lrp sphere combo and it was fast, i sold the system to buy 2 7700kv mamba max systems, due to all the people saying they are good, i am getting the same results on both systems. The motor is at 198F after 5 minutes on a 8.7FDR. If i gear up it does go faster, but then wont that fry the motor?. The lipo's are warm after a 5 minute race. I thought the 7700kv was suppose to be as faster / faster than a 4.0T ?

Thanks

Weird! 198F after 5 mins on a 8.7 FDR and slower than a SP4.5T? Have you checked your drivetrain, bearing etc?

Timing is at lowest? If not drop it and you'll drop motor temp.

Not likely unfortunately...we thought of this a long time ago, but there are too many obstacles we found once we looked into it.

I have tried different timing on the motor, but liked the feel of the std "normal" setting, which i think is 10 degrees.. Is there no set FDR ranges for this motor like you get with other sensored motors?.. i will try an 8.2FDR next time and see how it is..

thanks

MoonTrap if you find the 7700kv not as fast as you expected, there is always the 9000kv.If you can handle all this power.
