Update is coming along. The Mamba seems to be running them extremely well. The engineers are still doing some testing.

Hi all,

after more than one moth my System: Mamba Max + 5700 is here. I installed into my car, performed the radio setup... everthing ok

So, I turn off the ESC, remove the batteries and put the USB cable, the software, version 2.22, detect the ESC and show the configuration..... I just try to save the configuration and the follow error message are showed:

Error Communicating with device Unable to write packet to controller Try unplugging and reconnecting USB Device.

The software lost the connection with the ESC and few moments connects and work again, I can read the data from ESC, the lights gren and reed alternate turn on/off.

I try to remove/insert the cable n times but woithout any progress.... so now, I remove the cable and put the batteries and turn on the ESC. The red and green lights a solid on, without any response......

So, any ideas?

Thanks in adavance

Sampaio

Sampaio...if you can get the ESC to connect, go to the software tab, and click "update firmware". That should solve it. If you cannot get it to link back up let me know and I will get a new one out to you.

Talking Would Large Capacitors improve performance

Good Day,

I have been running the MMX 5700 on 3cell lipo 4A/15c on a AETc4 geared (100s/25p).
It performs as it should except, I noticed that if I hit full throttle abruptly, my
ESC lags for a split second, then kicks in shortly after. This does not happen if I go full throttle gradually exercising throttle control.

My question is this: Will adding a large capacitor (30v6000uf??) parallel to the ESC's battery terminals remove this behaviour.
(I did this to my mamba25 using 16v1000uf and this improved acceleration)

Any suggestions are welcome.

Thanks,
Raj

would the mamba 7700 motor have enough torque in a 4wd buggy? i know lots of people run the 5700 in ST's, but dont know of many that use them in 4wd buggies. people have run novak 4.5s before.... what is the 7700 in equivalence to a novak or reedy motor? 5.5? would it be enough torque to lift the wheels off the ground? does anyone have a video of a 7700 in a 4wd?

Raj, it may have something to do with the 15c rated pack not supplying enough power (burst) try gearing ti down a couple teeth.

Street, the mamba's will push as much as the battery can supply power for, in my touring car the belts will skip before the mamba misses a beet.

Which 4wd bugggy are you running? I have a Mamba 6900 system in my XXX4-G+ and is extremely fast! More torque then I know what to do with coming out of the corners.

That is running it with IB4200s.

I agree with rcracingkid, this sounds like the motor is not getting enough volatge an initial full throttle to get it going as quickly as you would like. Try gearing down like suggested. Also what are your settings at on your esc?
