The Mamba Max is the high end speedo and is capable or running all the Castle motors up to the 7700. The Sidewinder is a sport model speedo from Castle that can run the 4600 and 5700 kv motors from Castle. They both run great and are fully programmable but the Mamba Max is capable of running higher powered motors and is more resistant to thermaling.

Hey guys. im going to be using a mamba system for a non rc project and have to figure out how to run a mm with out a reciever, maybe on switches to arm and then signal for %80 throttle, any idea or thoughts on how to do this would be greatly appreciated. The mm would be running off a voltage regulator off a car battery at 8 volts just need to figure out how to arm and throttle it up.

Has castle ever modified the mamba 25 and sold it to Tekin for their Mini Rage?

Any chance of Castle Coming out with a more slower motor like the Novak SS21.5 Pro brushless motor? I am racing in the VTA class and right now that is the only lipo motor combo allowed. I have mamba max in my XXX-CR right now and love it. Just curious if its a possibility later.

We'll have a stock Sidewinder brushless setup, but the motors still won't be ROAR legal. Get rid of the rules and race!

lol i wish it was that easy but you should see how bad it is just about having a "period correct" paint scheme and numbers on your car...let alone trying to get them to introduce a new motor lol. But if by chance you get somethign that low roar approved..ill be first in line to buy it...I love my mamba

We'll never have a ROAR legal motor. They're all copies of Novak's design. We're not willing to copy what we consider to be an inferior motor, and definitely not willing to dumb down our motors so they can run in races based on rules from an outdated racing committee. The rules need to be updated to current standards...they're living at least 5 years in the past. Cars are the ONLY part of r/c where sensored motors are still being used...we stopped making sensored ESC's about 7 years ago! The #1 reason our motors will not be allowed is because sensorless brushless is much more difficult and expensive to manufacture, and those other companies either don't want to invest the money, or don't have the know-how to do a sensorless system. It's easier to write the competition out of the rules.

Well I really like my mamba and my son will soon have either a mamba or sidewinder in his truck as well. He just picked up a small cash sponsorship and is waiting on money to get here.
