I have question about batteries. I just got done charging a 4200 shv pack and it is very HOT! Is that right or is there an issue with the pack. One of the cell was at .001v while the others were at .5 prior to charging.

I should have mentioned the charger is a duratrax intelipeak and I charged the pack at 5.5v

which intellipeak charger? What delta peak cutoff are you using? Also, how hot is HOT?

Those packs should peak out at a temp of about 125*F. You should also not discharge them below .8-.9V per cell. Going lower then this will cause a loss of run time. Over charging or getting the cells above about 140 can result in venting of the cells which can damage them as well. Turn down the delta peak on the charger to the lowest setting and see what happens.

Good Morning everyone! I see there was some good racing

at SoCal this week-end. Jeremy Hase returned Friday night.

He missed several races due to having to work on Sundays!

Looks like him and Casper were on target!!

Scott made some changes on the web-site, more pictures added.

And, more to come!!

Thanks for the emails Team Drivers! I am proud to say, it looks like

most are returning, haven't had any from a team member leaving yet!!

Cannot imagine why anyone would want to leave the best motor company in the industry. Best handwound and still welded tab mod motors and the fastest stock and 19T motors out there. All that and the best customer service you would be silly to leave this team if you get the honor of being on it!

Thanks Casper and Killer for the help. How much help will a fan make in keeping it cooler? I have a 120mm fan I can mout up to blow over the battery during charging if it will help.

I am sending in my SuperCross entry form today. I look forward to meeting you all and hope to do good. Now I hope I can get some practice time in to blow off some of those cob webs.

You should not use a fan to cool the batteries unless ambient temps are above about 85* You want the battery to get warm as it will discharge harder then but too hot and you can damamge the cell. If you are not worried about that extra little bit of power a fan will help. If you cannot control the temp with the charger you have by adjusting the Delta Peak then a fan will help the cells to not vent as well but see if you can lower the delta peak on the charger to reduce the peak temp some and go from there.

That is because you were already fired too many times this year! j/k

I guess you are kind of assumed to be on the team since you are winding all the motors!

Good job with the site Scott. How come no pictures with you getting your award?

It came out worse than my driver's license.

I have been firing him every week for almost 30 years,

so I think I need to think of a new tactic!!

Big Shout Out to Banzai Team Driver Brian Roeder!

He won the Race Station Mod Series Races, in both buggy and

truck! AND also set new track records and single lap records

for buggy/truck/ and 4wd. WAY TO GO BRIAN!!
