While looking at the web site I noticed a motor with the Team Checkpoint name. Way back in the olden days there was a company named Team Check point that made motors but had some legal probelms and closed. Is this the same guy?

the board is surface mount capacitors. You do not need to solder caps on motors anymore! The new Checkpoint bought the name from the old checkpoint and the new guys are new. It is actually a company started by Steve Odonnel of Odonnel fuel. He has branched out into electric motors.
The top three motor companies are Trinity, Orion/Peak and Checkpoint. Reedy retired so even though they still make motors it is not the same! Banzai motors is one of the last if not the last company to HAND wind motors and weld the motor tabs. This old fashion way of doing things take more time but the customer gets a better product. Banzai is the best!

Thanks Casper! Thank goodness for Bonzai keeping the old spirit alive. To bad about Mike Reedy retiring though he must be in his golden years by now. I have never been a fan of Trinity or orion motors as their support sucks! Thats what made Reedy motors so good that you could find Mike at every major event and many local events offering support for his products. From what I have been reading here it seems that Bonzai is keeping that alive. Way to go guys.

Sorry I've been absent most of the day!! Jason had jury duty!

But, he didn't get picked, so he's done. I think he got dismissed

because of his John Deere tractor tattoo!

Or maybe the Wyatt Earp guns tattoo!! Yes, he wins

the best of the Red-Necks contest!!

Bob James, he (Scott) better come home with the hardware, or

else I may have to fire him AGAIN!! Actually, I think I have stacked

the deck in the " Old Dudes " class, if they don't take each other out!

James, when you left R/C, I think we were still using closed end-bell

stock motors!! If you have any questions about motors or batteries,

(what were we using back then?) , the guys are very helpfull!

Halve, so glad you found us! Are you coming to the Reedy??

Casper, Scott said thanks for getting the tires, and he'll bring the

"Circus" tent with him on Thursday. Can you save a space for him to

put it up???

Update on my camping situation. Kyle's grandmother and mother are paying for my family and his motel rooms for the 3 nights, as long as we take him. We are planning on heading out as soon as my dad get's home from work on Thursday. I got my new FTT4 done tonight (took me like 4 hours), and I'll be getting a new quantam sphere tomorrow (they can't replace my quantam 2 since they stopped making them, so I get 100$ off the sphere).

Things are working out pretty well so far, can't wait for this weekend . Still deciding on classes, looking at stock and 19t.

Casper, I think this EZ up is either a 10x10 or a 10x15. It's one of those that open up like an accordion. I hope to be up there around 2:30 pm tomorrow.

No, Cool doesn't have a table. I'll check with

Scott on that one and get back to you.

We only have 1 table, and Scott will most likely

use most of it because of comm lathe etc.

Any ideas? We'd like to keep as many of the Banzai

boys together as we can.
