I just pulled out an old print-out from the Ranch Pit Shop.

March 22, 1996

A-Main Results Expert Mod

Brian Kinwald
Albert Clemons
Jimmy Babcock
Jason, Yes Mr. Banzai Jr., motor winder!!
Derek Furutani
Travis Amezcua
Eddie Bernaw
Justin Morrison
Shawn Dassonville
Lloyd Dassonville

Only the top 5 had 11 laps. I think Jimmy beat Jason by less than

a second, if I'm reading this right. Jason was an awesome racer

before he "retired".

Oh well, memory lane!!!!!!!!

Yeah the only thing constant in life is change. Kinwalds X-6 had a Novak brushless system in it which I found interesting because a couple months ago Tekin announced Kinwald was running for them! I just hope to be able to see Kinwald back at the track winning races again. We shall see though.

Hey David England, do you run Xray stuff? If so could you give me a couple tips on how to get it to rotate a little better in the turns? Or anybody for that matter.

Kevin-- Go to the xray forum. They should be able to help you out with setup stuff over there.

Yeh Ive been looking on there for a while now and i think i am going to test a couple new things. The main thing I think will help me is adjust my roll center a little and see what happens. I think if i raise my roll center up a bit, it will free the car up some. But oh well I guess all i can do is try. Thanks casper.

I do not run TC so I will not be a ton of help. The 8th scale guys over at the xray site are very helpful so I would imagine the onroad guys are the same! :-) Play with roll center and shock positions.

Chris: Don't worry about it, I'll get you back next week. Just kidding. That's racing kid. Hopefully I'll be up next week. I'm a tad bit rusty and I need to pick it up for the Reedy or I might get fired.

Vanair was fast last night, huh?

Yeah he was. I was keeping up with him the first round but the second round and the main were horrible for me.

I just got back from the races, and I had a good time considering. Judi the motors were great! I had all of the speed I could handle. But as fate would have it, a lap car seemed to like my paint scheme a little to much and hit me hard enough to break my battery, chassis and battery strap . The day went great until then though. I went 1,2 in my first Heats. Qualified 2nd for the main and was leading when I was Punted. Oh well I had fun and the car drove great and I had all the motor I could ask for. We will get them next time.

I ended up 6th in the A and Jim got 4th I'm never going to hear the end of this.
