vanair: Do you know if they run the track at the JBRL blue groove or wet?

I assume the RTROC will be blue groove.

Jimmy will run his track dry for the JBRL. He always has in the past and the track is more consistant and the day is much shorter. The track tends to be a little more dusty then normal though as it does not get blown off quite as much and the groove will not devlope during the event but there is plenty of traction.

The Reedy truck race will definately be blue groove. The JBRL will be run on the shootout layout from what I understand and the Reedy truck race layout will go in after that race.

I was at Hot Rod's this past Saturday. Let's just say the layout is a tad more bumpy and rutted out than it was for the shoot-out. Can you say 1/8th scale Truggies and Buggies?!?!

Well, that's not very encouraging!

Anybody want to call Jimmy and see if they are going

to do any "track repair" before Saturday??

just got home from hot rods club racing, only 3 electrics but all the associated guys where there with the gt2. also jimmy hasn't decided wet or dry yet. he was kinda leaning toward wet so the track stays in better shape. there was alot of track work done tonight and it made a huge difference. he said from now on he will be out there every tues. night working on it. also for the onroad guys. the hotrod onroad track goes in thursday night. i will be there racing saturday as well as fixing the onroad pit area electrical. so everyone come out sat. and lets have a big turn out!!!!!

Judi- Yeah I went to bakersfield and was in all Bs. I was racing against AJ for the bumpup spot in 4wd and i guess his transponder missed a lap. Since he was running a personal i thought jimmy said he wasnt going to count laps but i guess he did. I wasnt going to argue with him because AJ is a good friend and i didnt want him mad at me. Oh well theres always hot rod.

I'm doing well, thanks for asking. School is back in session, so I had to cut down on rc for a little bit . I did pick up a truck though and had fun running it at SoCal. Took TQ by 7 secs (racing mod buggy weekly really helped out my driving). During the main on the first lap I spun out landing from a jump trying to overcorrect that I was jumping too wide . Hung a pipe and I never realized how hard it is to pass in stock truck on a narrow lane track like SoCal until then . You can't just punch it and squirt by into the next corner . Still had lots of fun and I will be back out to SoCal this Friday ... (Bring it Fluff and Johnny )

I hope to make it to either the RTROC or the JBRL. If they're running both dry, I'll only go to one and I'll have to decide which . If they run the JBRL wet, I might make both . But I will have to miss school for the Reedy race. (parents)

Will you guys be at both races? If so, see you at one or maybe two of them.
