No problem. We will take care of you again! It will be good to see you. I hope to god that the weather cools down by then. It has been over 90 in the OC all week though so it is still pretty miserable! LOL

We were 105 deg. for a couple days, about 100 today. It's supposed

to cool down here soon. It better be cooler for the Reedy!!

CoolChris, I have a call into Jeremy Hase for you. I'll email you when

I hear from him.

Just a reminder to all, when you email from the web-site, make sure you put

something about Banzai or motors in the subject line, otherwise the

spam catcher thing will get you!!

It looks like we'll have a full team in Bakersfield. Dunford, Casper, the

Boice family, Brian Sullivan.

Hey Vanair, are you going?? Anyone else??

Is the Tumbleweed Classic this week-end?? Travis????

Hey guys,

What is a good starting pinion for the Banzai CO27 with a 86 spur on the MF1? Also which is the better 19T choice for the MF1, the C2 or KD and also gearing for these? The gearing would be for the reedy truck race at Saugus. Thank you!

Mlbaker, you and I are probably the only ones up this late!!

And you sure don't want me to help with gearing,

but in the morning Casper will probably answer for you and help!

By-the way, welcome to our thread!

Judi

P.S. Scott and I will be at the Reedy Race for several days to

help with motors, etc.

I personally would start with a 18T for the CO27 at HRH. I'm curious to see what Casper would recommend as he has quite a bit of experience with these motors and cars...

Brian Sullivan is a team driver Kevin. But, I don't have his phone

number and I think his email has changed. He was just here Monday!!!

I'll try to hunt down a number for you.

He will be in Bakersfield this week-end also.

"P.S. Scott and I will be at the Reedy Race for several days to

I hope Scott is racing too!

I asked Jimmy about a " 40+ old dude " class.
He said if enough drivers are interested he will add this class.
My buddy Fritze and i will be the first 2 entries.

Yep, that's two months in a row. Our little traveling team has been doing good this past couple of months. We haven't had to pay to race. We made enough between the casino and the money race to pay for this last weekend's entry, hotel, dinner, and next month's entry fees.

We had a lot of fun. TQ'd 4wheel again and one of my ballstud's came out on me. I can't catch a break in the mains.

MF1 gearing for a CO27. I would be in the 17-18 range. It will depend on the weather. These motors can run flat if they are over geared. I run an 18 on my MF2 but the Gen II tranny has a lower internal ratio so I would start with a 17 and if it runs strong try an 18 but my guess is the 17 will work better.

19T motors. The C2 has more bottom end and is better for tight technical tracks IMO. The KD2 motors never stop pulling on the top end. If the reedy truck race is a typical HRH "flowing" layout then I would suggest the KD motor which is a little smoother and has the better top end. Gearing for a KD in an MF1. I will say 19-20. I typically run a 20 in my MF2 so I am thinking the 19 will be the way to go for your truck but it may pull a 20 if you get one with good torque. Go a tooth higher if you run the C2.

Hope this helps. If you need help with your motors or your setup stop by and say high during the race!
