Hoping to get to OCRC on Wed nights between now and the shootout to keep the skills sharp. In the process of buying a house so money and time are drying up fast!

I negotiated that if she gets the house I still get to do the JBRL, Shootout and Nats though!

Yep, the 180mm works great. I use it on my T4. You can run it from the speed control and loop it through the rear shock tower to keep it out of the way Prefecto

Who is planning on running the Shootout this year, anyway I just did the motel deal yesterday

Back at ya', Billy!

Casper, TERRIFIC negotiating skills!!!!!!!

Best part of the race was the shrub losing all those points!!

I think Scott got the HILTON, for around $50.00, and I best
not catch Paris there!!

Yeah, he went through Priceline. I better ask him again,
but I'm pretty sure that's right.

Whoops, I just checked the email, it was $55.00
Still a killer deal!!

Did some RC Drifting with some friends on Sat! Motor was lagging, (Was using a Trin. Gem series 19t, and it was lagging power) so I swapped in a Banzai stock last night and tested it, seemed to be lots better.

Ran the 4wd at the local track Fri for practice. (Still want a BL setup in that thing.) I think my ESC is getting overloaded. But my brushed motor (12x2) RIPS! My ESC has a no motor limit (Novak Atom), but its glitchy after a few laps. I think because of heat.

We have a MONSTER triple at my track and the BJ4WE cleared it w/ ease. I had a couple people asked what BL setup i had. Told them i was running brushed. They were surprised! I was pulling on the BL guys on the back straight. Car is super twitchy and I need to work on the settings, but im stoked w/ the performance. Still thinking I might order the BL ESC and hold off on a motor for a bit IF i can get the same performance from a B motor. For the Mods, are you gearing down on teeth? motor has an AE Heatsink on it along with cooling ducts. i was actually heating the neg -wire up that it was coming off the motor. not sure if Im over geared or not. Im going by the BJ4WE gear chart for a 12T setting. However I know that Banzai recommends changing the pin. gear.

Still love the B motors. Anyone test the B on BL ESC?

The GT speedo is supposed to be able to run brushed but not a lot of people have tried it. I have read about a couple people that have done it though. I have not tried yet personally.

As for the over heating. Try a novak super diode. Other then that go down a tooth or two. The endbell is getting too hot. The amp draw 4wd cars have and the enclosed motor in the body can cause this. This is a pretty common problem for all motors these days.

[QUOTE=BanzaiMom;4521930]Good morning, guys! Anybody race this week-end?? QUOTE]

Mom,
Alex raced on Saturday, ran 19T and finsihed 2nd, he was in 1st for about 5-6 laps, then somebody must have sent him a text message or something because he went goofy for 2 laps and could not catch up with 1st, then we went down and practiced Sunday. A lot of people and that makes practice hard, a lot of newbies to dodge, but nothing better than time in the dirt. We will be doing the shootout, we will head to HRH on Thursday and get in some practice, we will be staying at the Residence Inn (70/day). Have they changed the track yet or maybe they don't intend to change the track..Anybody ??

Jimmy usually has in a new lay out the weekend before. Casper will probably have the details. I'm going up Thus. afternoon. That should be enough time to get fast
