Yes, I was gonna have Scott do that after supper!

It seems like an eternity, but they have assured us they

will be here soon. They know we need them for the Shoot-Out

and the Roar Nats. I must admit, I have NEVER worked with

such a great company, and Adam and Shawn are just the best!!

When they say they are gonna do something, they do!!!!!!!

Our other forum is in the Team and Manufacturers forum,

on the front page.

Phil, I'm sorry, I was yellin' hard for the Suns! You can

root for my Cavs now if you want too! I hate it when my

favorite teams lose.

Morning Bud

As of right now, you can only run the BL in Mod in the JBRL series. They are not allowed in any of the other classes. Next year Jimmy is going to adjust the rules. Felles is running a 6.5 and I think Ryan Dunford is as well in their 4wds.

Not scott but will give my $.02 anyway!

Ryan D. Is running a 5.5 and I am running a 10.5 in the 4wd class at the JBRL.

BL motors have more bottom end then there brushed counterparts. That may be good or bad for you but with the GT speedo you can dial out the bottom end grunt of the motor to make it a little more tame for 2wd applications.

BL motors tend not to "fade" at the end of the run like brushed motors do. They tend to stay more consistant throughout the run power wise. BL motors are not maintaince free. You should still clean them out and oil the bearings regularly. The will still get dirt inside. The benefit is that is about all you need to do. No cutting comms no brushes to replace. No comms to wear out, no springs to replace. The draw back is no brushes to choose from an no springs to tune with. The GT speedo is adjustable enough though that you can change the performance of your motor like you were tuning with brushes and springs! This is a unique feature of the GT with some of the perameters you can adjust with this ESC.

Lipo's are up to you. We have shown NiMh are better performing cells for racing right now. That might change as technology advances. The GT is lipo compatable with adjustible voltage cutoff setting so you do not overdischarge you lipo's so if you choose to go that route.

Hopefully that helps!

4wds are just hard on motors, batteries, and speedos period. You would not have to worry about having to take it out every run to do maint. We will still have to look at them once in a while just for routine inspections, to clean and to inspect bearings. I haven't seen a maint free bearing yet. JMO
