Well.... I put the BL in my 4wheel this weekend and I have to say it felt really good. It was a little bit of a rushed deal. I only got 1 practice run with it. I need a day of just testing with it where I can make changes to the speed control to see what differences it makes. I do feel like I need to add a little more drag brake from what the default settings are! It feels like it rolls a little more than a brushed motor. I was using the 6.5 and it had plenty of power.

Ryan/Casper what changes have you guys made from the default settings? Were you both running BL in 4wheel this weekend? I geared the 6.5 right in the middle of the suggested range (10.0 - 9.0) I was 9.54. Neither the motor or the speed control came off very hot. Probably didn't hurt that it was a pretty cool day! So far I really like the whole combination. I can't wait to just have some time to play with the speed control settings.

Mom - Garrett's T-shirt worked perfect. So perfect he wore it to school!

We have the brake settings up a 75%. 50% just was bearly any brakes. 100% was too much but you can always turn it down on the radio.

Drag breaks are set at 20% and it seems good there so we have not played with that setting.

The DRRS settings we have been playing around in the 2-4 range. This setting does seem to effect the punch of the motor quite a bit. I think Ryan is at 3 with his 5.5 and I am at 4 with my 10.5.

Gearing I am at 7.5 FDR in the 4wd with my 10.5 I was up a tooth higher then that in my initial testing but motor came off right at 155 in pretty cold weather. I backed down a tooth to keep the motor a little cooler and get get more snap on the tight track this weekend.

Ryan with is 5.5 is at 10.83 FDR. His motor is cool and can gear up from here but again with the tight track did not need anymore top end and left it there. I think for larger tracks he will be going up on that as the motor has been in the 120 range. He was having ESC temp issues before he put the fan on which solved all those issues (super large cutout in the body was required! ) but everything is nice and cool.

I have not noticed a lot of changes in the timing but really have not had a chance to play with that setting a lot yet. We will be doing some more toying around with the ESC's soon though. The lower DRRS settings are great for offroad with our lower traction and really make the BL motors drivable with smoother bottom end which is great. These ESC's are the bomb!

Just as a comparison. My 10.5 had more bottom end out of the hole then Hase 13X4 in the main but he would pull for a little longer. It will be interesting to compare my motor on a little bigger track soon. We both love the systems so far!

Mom, Scott,
Alex and I had a great time and I wanted to say "thanks" for all your help and expertise. One thing that goes unnoticed is the open help that all the team drivers provide. Alex is new to the team and did not take long to feel the "Love". Thanks to Team Banzai. See you all soon.

AE, Thanks for being such a great host at your home track!!
And yes, we're so glad we got to see you!

Hase, what can I say?? Asked me to hold a part for him, and
I did--------for an hour!! Then informed me it was a BROKEN
part!! Then he wonders why I fire him about once a day!

BUT that's why we love him!! Also want to thank you Jeremy for
cooking hamburgers on the grill for the team, and some NOT on
the team!! Jeremy held the TQ in 4wd. Mod for the 1st round,
was an AWESOME run, flawless! Finished with a great 3rd!

Jake McGarvey gets the award for "Sportsman" of the Day! Had
a turn marshall put his car where it shouldn't have been after
being punted, and did a stop and go to let the guy go. Probably
cost him the race for something even Jimmy said wasn't his fault!
Proud of you Jake!

Alex Alvarez bumpity bumped from the B into the A!! That race got
kind of crazy, but Alex kept his cool, and moved up to the A!
Good job Alex!! Phil, I'm rooting for your Suns, and my Cavs!

Bisbee, thank you for the use of Motel Bisbee!! This is your
come-back tour, and we think you're doing great!!

Wayne Ashmore got his 1st Banzai win since joining the team
at the last race!! Way to go, Wayne!

I'll post more as my brain starts working again!

Mr Alvarez,
That is what being part of a team is about. We are here to help anybody but espacially the Banzai Nation. If you or Alex need anything do not hesitate to ask, that is why we are at the track.

Customers and Team Drivers:
Mom and Scott will not be at the next JBRL race at Metro so if anyone needs anything please come and see me and I will be happy to help you with anything.

Mom, Scott thanks for everything this weekend. I did pretty well in stk TQ'ed, led the race for about 3 minutes then olsen caught me. After that I was just driving to hard and wrecked a couple times, I ended up with 7th. 19t wasn't going well for me, I ended up middle of the B main but it was ok.

Mitch: No problem bro!!! That is why we are at the track, just be careful on how long you run the motor and how many times you run it before you cut it again.

Bisbee:
You are right you do have my nuts.
