It's raining like crazy down here too. It's supposed to stop by tomorrow morning. Where was all this rain when we had those fires

I SHOULD be in attendance. Im gonna neck that place out! How close is Hotrod from the beach? I wanna go get my tan on and look at some scantly clad women walkin in the sand.

What airport should I look at to fly into? Going to try and get some tickets soon.

I'm sure Fez will be there to help you in the scantily dressed

women category !!!!!!!!

Casper is good with the air-lines stuff. He finds all kinds of

things on the internet ! I never flew into Hot Rod's before !

Are we all going to stay at the " pink" motel??? The one that's

brown now?????? Or does somebody have a better idea???

I'm getting the calendar set up now.

At this point, I THINK we will be there.

So many races this year, but our son is in Phoenix,

and we can visit them as well as do the Cactus too.

You can fly into LAX or Burbank. Odds are good LAX will be cheaper since it is a larger airport. I think the track is about 20-25 miles north of LAX? I would say Burbank is marginally closer.

Hotels. The "Pink Palace" (actually not pink anymore and really called the Santa Clarita inn) is the closest hotel and resonable. There is a holiday inn express and an Best western not too far away as well. Might be more to the liking of those that want some place a little nicer. There are some really nice hotels a couple exits down the 5 if you are a big spender. We normally stay at the Santa Clarita Super 8 or Travelodge. They are about 15 min away but have some the cheapest prices. I can get you more info on any of these places if you need. It looks like I will have my work cut out for me in getting the web site up and running with all this info. As soon as I get some details from Jimmy I will get that stuff up at www.hotrodhobbies.com as well.

Hot Rods does have pit space and for large races they usually rent a large tent with tables for out of towners. Not a lot of room for trailers and motor homes though. Parking is a little scarce.

I think that at least covers the bases and will give you a flavor for what to expect.

The Beach is pretty far away from Hot Rods (30 min drive I would say). Magic Mountain is close by though. Only about 5 miles away!

What a bad year for all these races for me. I will really have to start seriously sucking up to the wife!

Depends on how early you get the ticket and the airline and the airports you fly into and out of. You are coming from ok right?

I would think if you get a ticket early it should not cost more the $300 round trip but there are always deals you can get them for less. That is just a guess. With the airline troubles and gas prices etc it could be more. Too many factors to take into accont.

Go to travel.yahoo.com and put in some close information date, time locations and see what it says for right now.
