That's what I told the Air Force when they wanted me to jump out of airplanes.

Computer guy called and said it's done. Wish me luck. If you don't here from us in a couple of days, well................................... I'm going to load the dial up software with our current ISP until I can get the DSL deal. Verizon has a special 'till the end of the month.

That would be O.K. with me. You'll have to ask Jimmy and the rest of the "Old Farts" to see if it's O.K. with them.

killer89: Glad to see you're coming. Let me know if you need anything.

Hey Beeanner,

What up dawg?? You bet, I like the beer, but they have some good food too. I really like the bratwurst. There is a town called Coburg that has killer brats. They beat anything you can get in the US.

Judi, where is Ebi? I will be in a town called Fulda which is about an hour and a half east north east of Frankfurt. Is he anywhere near there?

I hope everyone on the Banzai team has a safe and fun fourth. And Beeanner, don't drink too much beer on the 4th.

later,
Gary B.

In the end you will be very happy you upgraded. My moms neighbor was the same way. She had an old machine and was running windows 98. I had to go to her house almost once week to fix issues for her. after about a year I finally talked her into building her a new machine. A lot of her software was 16 bit ( windows95) but we got it all sorted out with current software and she couldn't be happier. Now she wishes she had done it earlier.

It will take some time to get it all sorted out but you'll get it. If you have a lot of old software it will most likely be 16 bit and wont run on Windows XP. Rest assured though that there is an updated version that will work and get you back on track. Good luck!

puddle:Yeah, I can't get the stuff for the DSL for a few days anyway.

JamesnMeyer:I bought one of those KVM switchs so I can go back and forth between computers, with just one monitor, one keyboard, and one mouse, but I can't seem to make it work. I'm just going to have to set both of them up indepently I guess. You don't have an extra monitor laying around, do you?

Yeah I do have and extra monitor or two. The KVM should be pretty streight forward however you just got to ge it set up right. I assume it usses the keyboard to switch between?

It has a switch on the box. When I hooked it up the first time, the monitor didn't come on completely and the mouse pointer was froze.
