Banzai power for me this weekend as well. It started out ok, I wrecked too many times in 2WD and was 5th in Heat 1. Heat 2 I did a lot better, although I kept rolling over due to a backed up screw catching in the dirt. I ran well enough to start 3rd overall in 2WD Sportsman. I took the lead early and never looked back and won my first JBRL race against some pretty good guys.
In Truck Stock Sportsman I ran pretty well, I was 2.5 seconds off the TQ in heat 2 but got tangled up with a guy I ran down from like 5 seconds back. I missed starting 2nd by 2-3 seconds and 3rd by 2-3 tenths. Started 4th and ran there for a few laps until 3rd made a mistake. I followed 2nd for most of the race then on the second to last lap cut on the inside of him coming on to the straight and passed him for 2nd. After the race my girlfriend said she heard him talking on the phone and how he got motored on the straight.
POWER! I was pretty excited to come home with something. I felt like I could have done better last month and really tried to run mistake free in the mains to do better.

Thanks! I just tried to stay out of trouble and run smoorth clean races and it paid off for me. At these big tracks wrecking is like losing 5 seconds, so sometimes its not worth going for it. I usually only doubled-sing-single the whoop section, or even sometimes singled it all if I didnt feel like I got a good enough run.

I did the same in Qualifing I watched some of the faster guys like Manual and Matt O. and they could Double Double but I couldnt....in my second Qualifier that I tq'd I never Double Doubled and still got Tq so it shows that sometimes slower is faster in some sections!

No prob. Mom, any time. Had lots for fun this weekend. Started 9th in the A main stock truck. Could of done better, but in my first heat, got slammed twice and cost me about 9 seconds. Oh well. Brian made the A main in both stock and 19t truck. And his son Trever made the A in rookie stock after a wild B main. We did all using Banzai power!!!!
