Zach, you really should not notice a big difference in batteries. The numbers you are referring to are the milliamp rating of the batteries. Yes, the voltage would be remain higher for a longer period with 4200's than 3300's but I doubt you would notice any difference. What you are probably feeling is a just a newer battery in better condition with lower internal resistance. I had some old 3600 cells that had insane voltage. They were garbage as far as durability but they were the most "punchy" batteries I have ever used...for about 10 cycles before they died. Anyway, sorry for the rant but I wanted to help you out a bit before you went too far with your theory...

The 3600 depended on the age of the cells. The last batches they made were silly for numbers. The earlier ones did not compare to what these new cells.

The runtime (mah) is not what is making those batteries so fast but this generation of cells have the lowest internal resistance of any batteries ever made for this hobby. That low IR is what is making these batteries so outstanding for stock racing. Slingshot has the EP4200 cells which have great voltage, low internal reistance and seem to last longer then the 10 runs Chris was talking about. Give them a try when you are looking for some new cells.

The IB and EP have similar power but testing has shown the EP to keep there high performance for longer meaning you get more bang for you buck!

After hi-jacking the thread again for side topics!

Keith showed off his motors with the new lables. Those things are super nice! I want some neat new stickers!

Are the mod ones like this now as well?

I just wanted to thank Scott and Judi for reminding me ,the last time I saw them, that we were defending stock class champs from last years Losi Race Thanks for the added pressure in stock, without it I wouldn't have pulled off the "W" for ya mom...

And thanks for the motors too!!!We all know without them i wouldn't even be posting this comment

Chris, Kyle and Ashley, if there was a Factory Family Class you guys would definitely be champions. Without your support I don't think I would have done as well. Thank you.

Mitchell lost some armature laminations right next to a balancing hole that was drilled REAL DEEP! Exactly what Mom and I were talking about several weekends ago at Pegasus. I spun the armature on my lathe to check it out and boy that sucker vibrated a ton!

Most people do not realize that the stock motors and

the 19t come from the factory with drill holes. There are

only 3 or 4 companies that have balancers,( yes, we have one! )the

rest "pretend"

they have balanced them!! But that's

how they come from the factory. We've also noticed the

stacks don't seem to be as pressed together as well as they

used to be. Just a fact of life we have to live with, as I've

asked 100 times at least for a fix from the factory, hasn't

happened yet !!!!!
