I recut my KD19, and when I try to run it in, it starts for like 1-2 seconds then just stops. New brushes and springs. Any ideas?

Take the endbell off the motor and the spring off and make sure the brush moves freely in and out of the hood. It sounds like it is hanging up in the hood. Check the can to make sure there are no e-clips or motor washers in the can.

What you described is usually due to a bent brush hood in my experience. Scott I am sure will have more to add!

Also does it matter which washers go first on the top portion? I have the brown fatter one first, then the silver one next to the bearing.

The big brown one HAS to go on the arm first. It is non conductive and makes sure the metal silver one does not have a chance of shorting out the three comm segments that would ruin the motor.

I am glad to hear that the motor is running now. I would still suggest you make sure the hood are straight as Casper has suggested. Just to be sure, ya know, you want it to run as strong as it can after all.

Gees, is it the weekend yet, it is time to play...haha. It should be a great weekend of racing all around. Pegasus should be great on Saturday, And some G racing on Sunday out in BFE, oh I mean Palm Desert, lol.

Welcome Mike, it is good to have you on the other team as well. Now the total power will be unstoppable.

Current Cactus Classic Champion, Ryan Dunford has

been picked up by Kyosho to run their electric and "g"

cars!!! Congrats Ryan!! With Gil Jr. there, I think the

race program will pick up and I'm really excited to see one

of Banzai's own on the team!!

Ryan's been racing many years, and this is a well deserved

ride!!!!!!!

Thanks Everyone...lots of building ahead of me. At least I will have something to do at the next couple of series races, haha. Now I really want to get out and race.

Hey Judi,

Tell Scott to get you some of those shades for the popup like we had and you will do fine in the heat. They block the sun but let the air through.

Sounds like you all are doing well out there in Cali. Congrats to Ryan for snagging the ride with Kyosho. Way to go!!!

Later,
Gary B.
